The "Nostalgia Over Things You Didn't Even Live Through" Thread

This song is the definition of this thread for me. Nice video too. a e s t h e t i c Reminds me of midday Saturday TV for some reason, like watching weird movies like Killer Klowns from Outer Space.

    50 retired Sesame Street Muppets

That's what I'm assuming as well; I already directed him there.

Funko Reaction The Dark Crystal 3.75 figures

I would have no money if Funko made regular figures of everything like those instead of Pops.

Disney should just sell back the Muppets to the Jim Henson Company

Or at least explain why the other person is wrong.

Official: “Muppets Now”, an unscripted series coming to Disney+ on July 31, 2020

omg, what a weird era hahaha... "Remember all those legendary Muppets you grew up with and love? Let's just replace them with a bunch of faceless randos!" I guess they didn't want to disparage the other characters.

The “What did you do today?” thread

At least you were cognizant; I only lived 6 years in the '90s. Can you stream movies still in theaters from home yet? I'm surprised the movie theater (just like the mall) hasn't been phased out yet. GameStop is the next to go - I heard they're closing 200 stores. Seems a little soon as people...

None Like it Hot: The "I Hate the Heat" Club

Overcast weather puts people down in the dumps, but for some reason it makes me happy... I must be a grouch or something. :grouchy:

    How do I post pictures?

There's an error with that image then. You can always 'Preview' to see if it'll show up.

    New Fraggle Merchandise in 2017?

Everything nowadays has to have a gimmick; it's not enough to just make normal action figures anymore, but I much prefer Kidrobot to Funko Pops.

The “What did you do today?” thread

"Dead mall" culture is a cool facet of the internet; as Snowth said, there's just something about it. I was reminded of malls today too when I saw a post on the nostalgia reddit regarding the Warner Bros. Studio Store (I believe one of them still exists). The '90s rocked; just enough technology...

In Search of 1980s Sesame Street episode!

There is an incredibly short clip of this episode (scene 5) in the Being Elmo documentary; starts at 45:38... Kevin refers to the character as "Juggles" lol. I want to see the behind-the-scenes of this character... so Kevin was probably behind the character puppeteering the head and Fred was...

What song can you not get out of your head?

This atrocious masterpiece: They literally refer to William Shakespeare as "Billy" Shakespeare. You would think the song is a parody but it isn't... does anyone actually remember it? It apparently peaked at #3 in 1999 but I was still kinda too young to be following the charts, though my...

They really wanted to do a juggling character for some reason. Garbo looks like that dragon we were talking about yesterday (that character that looked like it could be from Eureka's Castle); a very nice-looking puppet, but not signature 'Henson' if you know what I mean.

I haven't been following this too closely... what percentage of the show's history do you guys now have? Do you think it's only a matter of time before everything is fully documented at Muppet Wiki?
