I finished (with help from my wife Lara) a sea monster hand puppet that has been named Cyril. His first public appearance was at the first ever puppetSLAM on April 5th. I perfromed Cyril as the monster of ceremonies and raised over$300 for the Cincinnati Area Puppetry Guild!

Do any of you perform for adults? Our puppetry guild is starting a puppetSLAM! in April and I'd like to know what kind of reactions you have received when playing to a mature audience.
I have never built a walk-around suit, but I would love to be H.R. Pufnstuf, or a Banana Split for a day. I hear that it's a great way to sweat off a few extra pounds! :p
A pro-puppeteer friend of mine, Kevin Frisch, has built walk-around suits. He told me that it's a pain in the a$$.
