    Ask Ken at Palisades

Re: Misconceptions Other than Kaybee, I can't think of any other mainstream toy retailers that fit your descriptions. If you can't or won't count EB or Suncoast/Musicland, because their primary focus isn't toys I'm not sure why your bring up WalMart and Target. If the discussion is about...

I'm not going to offer opinion one way or another on the debate, but I will pick at a couple of points. 1) TRU is the only large "brick and mortar" retailer I have to disagree with this. The Musicland group has one or two stores in every mall I've ever been in. I'm not sure how big EB is...

Series 1 Arrives: When and Where

Portland, OR Well I did more checking around...Things From Another World thought they were getting them next month. Heh. I stopped by the Lloyd Center Toys R Us 15 minutes before closing and harrassed the guy into checking on the computer. Apparently they have them at a regional DC, but don't...

    EB Special Web Sale!!!

Is it after midnight? Is there a special coupon code? Why am I not seeing anything about this? :( Nevermind...it showed up now! Of course the $5 shipping probably makes the cost the same as if I got it at TRU or something, but at least I have them without too much hunting... now to look...

    Kermit re-runs on Hollywood Squares

I caught the tail end of it last night. He was sharing a cube with Nile somebody. (Obviously my grasp of popular culture is slipping) It was one of those college theme weeks. (How come nobody on this show knows the basics of tic-tac-toe winning? After the center square, go for a corner!)

Series 1 Arrives: When and Where

Oregon No sign of them in the Portland area yet. (C'mon, we're as close to China as anyone!) However it's pretty much a universal "not yet" instead of a "what?" or "all out" so that's a little bit of a good thing. Now I'll get a Fathers Day gift, plus the figures! :)

The Mouse is Wooing Miss Piggy

Well, the educational requirement has been around for a long time or at least there used to be a requirement that stations had to offer some sort of public service other than just entertainment. Somehow NBC figured out how to classify those insipid shows as good for the community. *shrug* The...

The Mouse is Wooing Miss Piggy

I always thought the Garfield and Friends show was fairly clever. To me the symbol of the Saturday AM downfall was the Must need Morphine to 'Preciate Rangers. That pushed the Animaniacs out, although they were part of a strong WB lineup for a while (Animaniacs, Freakazoid, Earthworm Jim) That...

The Mouse is Wooing Miss Piggy

I love reading through old comics and seeing the ads for the Saturday morning cartoons... There was a two page spread in the NBC Cafeteria (including an animated peacock) with Alvin and the Chipmunks, Punky Brewster, Smurfs, Kidd Video (I think)... I miss the Cartoon Network of four years ago...

The Mouse is Wooing Miss Piggy

Disney toons I have to say, IMO, the best recent disney toon was the Timon and Pumba cartoon. The outside the box gags and inside jokes that made Alladin 3 so much fun were very prevalant in this series.

    Ask Ken at Palisades

Okay...I think Ken probably has the best idea of whether this line will be successful or not. I'm not sure how much he can share but I'm curious to know: How did the retail orders for this compare to other lines of figures? How did the orders for this compare to the initial forecasts or...

Hear, hear! Since this is a line of Muppet Show characters I think it should stay Muppet Show Characters. If they do well enough (and blowing out of TRU in 30 minutes should certainly help), I would hope JHC would allow expansion into other muppety projects that have been asked for on here-...

Farscape season four premiere June 7

It's not that I didn't like it...it just wasn't a good jumping on point. I guess I would be a casual viewer and there was a lot of stuff left up in the air. I figure Zhaan died, but I really have no idea why Crichton was all alone (except for an old and dying pilot and one DRD). I guess that...

Creation announces Farscape New York Convention

Hmmmm...a November Farscape convention in NYC. I wonder how that plays with the rumored Muppets NYC convention in October. Does Creation generally fill in dates prior to later announced dates? Are facilities in NYC booked already up to November? How much do bus lockers in NYC cost now a...
