I'm going to completely agree with you here - especially on Gonzo. I really liked how he'd evolved up to Muppets Tonight and then maybe he became a little too clean looking, but this new version doesn't look quite right. I see an effort of trying to go back to the GMC era, but it doesn't quite...
Awwww. :sympathy: They do seem to keep stocking it. Keep checking back and maybe check in Target stores. I've heard confirmation that they've been spotted there too. ;)
We just uploaded a whole bunch of new emoticons earlier this year:
:fishy::cluck::skeptical::ouch::grr::news::oops::electric::laugh::dreamy::sigh::drool::jim:
We have to draw the line somewhere. Maybe that can be revisited in the distant future, but right now please enjoy the many smileys we...
Um. Apparently you saw a different "Muppets" movie than I did so I'm going to discontinue my involvement in your comments that make no sense to me other than to argue for the sake of argument. I'll still continue to post here, but please feel free to quote other people, just please not me. Once...
B-friggin-S. I'm calling complete Shenanigans on your statement in full.
The rich guy as bad guy is a common plot device used in film and literature for years. You might as well go after The Muppet Movie's Doc Hopper for exposing the evils of franchises and big business, Muppet Christmas Carol...
Guess I saw a different movie. Tex continually expressed a personal distaste for the Muppets throughout the film and he he had no real sense of humor (until being hit in the head during the closing credits) so that was actually his motive. :search:
If there was any green message SHOW ME! I was...
:attitude:Once again Fox News hears a sound bite then formulates a silly, knee-jerk response about it in order to stir people up. Sure, it sounds like “The Muppets” villain is motivated by oil money, but in the film we find out that he holds a personal resentment and there really is no green...
I expected:
a tighter, more cohesive story
some other singing puppets in the "Life's a Happy Song" number even if they were only seen through Walter's imagination
more villainy from Tex and the Moopets
more of the Muppet Show
the line about Kermit actually living in a pond
more Muppet dancing...
Well, the Muppetational Mosiac is finally down from the Society6 page. Here's the skinny. The absent-minded folk at Threadless believed their sister site had the same Disney authorization they did, but this is reportedly not the case and all the work they encouraged the selected artists to...
I really think we're reaching a new renaissance for the Muppets. That's why I'm so passionate about how skillful this relaunch campaign has been. Disney's definitely trying to create a lifestyle brand with the Muppets instead of just a seasonal fad. Things won't be exactly the same as when we...
It seems like you're taking the lack of a total merchandise explosion harder than anyone else. I don't see this as just a movie or a flash in the pan opportunity for the Muppets. Disney is carefully and consciously setting up a lifelong brand! That's so much more exciting than some forgettable...
The Muppetational Mosaic print (with the white background) is still up, but could come down at any moment between now and definitely by Sunday night. If you'd like prints or skins then now's your time! Just click here or the image below...
You keep saying there's "no merchandise" when in fact there is. We've mentioned countless times that there are two new albums, a slew of shirts, character plushes, character puppets, caps, snuggies, key chains, Walgreens holiday Kermits, electronic devices, books, stickers, Whatnot building kits...
I feel that completely. It's a fact of life. 95% of anything purchased in this world is made in China. It's unfair to single out toys, Disney or any one thing. The China debate is a topic in itself. I mean, we might as well complain about how many items are made out of plastic and how creepy...
Yeah. I also think Disney's treatment of the plush, mugs and other items in their stores and themeparks demonstrates their faith in the Muppets. However, they can't be the only ones to manufacture goods so they're waiting for retail demand. I think that's coming. Retailers are scared of peg...
I agree with this 100%! Just as the Muppets had to gain their audience back in the current movie, the movie's success will have to inspire retailers and licensors to invest in the Muppet brand. Not even Disney can wave a magic wand and have this be so. That's not how it works. But believe me...
I enjoyed the picture as a whole. A solid B effort.
They did appear to gut some key plot points (whether included in the novelization or not) that would have lent more credibility to the characters' motivations and more cohesion to the plot. I wonder why they chose those elements to delete...
