Since 9/11, people old enough to remember will always associate with the horrible events that day. For millions of people that day is seared in their mind. You don't have to elaborate "The attacks on the World Trade Center on...
I stand corrected. Both Matthew 14:26 and Mark 6:49 mention Jesus walking on the water, the disciples thought he was a ghost and cried out in fear.
Isaiah 29:4
Your voice shall come from the ground like the voice of a ghost, and from the dust your speech shall whisper
This was during the siege...
@Flaky Pudding it's hard to say what your dad actually saw. It was long ago, and nobody else was there to witness it. He may have seen something, and nobody can doubt what he actually saw. Was it a paranormal encounter? There are others more qualified to determine that.
Questioning whether...
One of the benefits of being my age. I was around when Sesame Street was new. The Muppet Show. Fragile Rock I didn't discover until six months before Jim's death. TNT used to have a morning block called "Toons Til Noon". Enjoying the Fraggles so much made his passing that much more painful.

That's the secret not everyone is aware of. If you eat anything too hot or spicy, and your mouth is burning up, milk is the only thing that will put the fire out.
As for me right now, enjoying a chicken parm sandwich.
I never met Mr. Rogers, but I did get to meet Dave Newell (Mr.McFeeley). Very nice guy.
One thing he shared, Fred was an awesome piano player. Loved jazz. Sometimes Fred, John Costa (musical director) and Joe Negri would jam together, and the crew would all stop and watch.

Tucked away in storage, I have a Great Cookie Thief cookie jar! It's glass with a painting of Cookie with a cowboy hat and scribbled-on mustache.
I picked up a lot of vintage books, records, and toys around 2000 when Sesame hit 30. And a lot I picked up dirt cheap. One man's trash is another...
That has to be the biggest crock of hooey I've heard in some time.
It's true that some parents are abusive to their kids, but hugging is not abuse.
And who gives them the authority to tell you how to raise your kids?
Imagine if your kid gets bullied at school. And as a parent you can't even...
My birthday was two weeks ago and I'm still working on my birthday cake. We had a party at my aunt's house, and even with twenty people, there was still plenty of cake left.
You need a big cake to fit all my candles on it.8)
My prized possessions in books are the four Time/Life books that came out in 1970 (The Book of Shapes tops it) and the 1972 Sesame Street Storybook. In the end pages, there's a cartoon illustration of the Street, and on the top floor of the 123 brownstone, Jim and Frank are looking out the...
Some of you might not remember, around 2006, 7-11 used to sell this thing called the p'eat-za. It was a sandwich with two slices of pepperoni pizza. In the middle was turkey, lettuce, and ranch dressing. You ate it cold. Strange, but it worked. It never caught on, but man, that thing was tasty.
