Best "Occupy Sesame Street" Pictures and Spoofs!

It's interesting how when I say "both parties are at fault," you're translating that to mean I'm not criticizing the Republicans. I don't know how many different ways I can say BOTH (including the Republicans) are bad. ;) You only seem to be happy if one particular party is taken off the hook...

That's a myth at this point. We keep hanging on to the sliver of hope that there's a lesser of two evils. There is none. There's just evil and evil.

Which is why we need to stop thinking that voting is actually solving any of our problems. The problem is in our own government and all voting is doing is keeping those same people in power. We claim we're exercising our rights and using our voices, but all we're doing every time we go to the...

    Pet Peeves

I mean I can see some groups choosing to make separate rules for religious figures. But I personally was never taught that in school, not even in Religion class. So ::shrugs:: there you go, lol.

I was never taught that either and I went to a religious school. ;)

Sorry, but I was always taught to never add an "s" after the apostrophe if the name ended in "s." ;)

Best "Occupy Sesame Street" Pictures and Spoofs!

Lol, I love the Cookie Monster photo and the Snuffy one, lol. I don't mind the Occupy people; the financial imbalance in our society needs to keep being at least talked about. It's all too easy to let it be silenced.

    The RHLC!

Yeah, didn't see that coming, lol. Never in my lifetime has it snowed before Halloween! My area was pretty lucky, just a couple of inches and we didn't lose power. Other areas were much worse off.

17 Things Kermit has done that are worse than living in a mansion.

Well I don't agree that they aren't characters, in that I don't see characters as a bad thing. But to each their own. :) Still, even if they're not characters in the traditional sense, I don't want to watch a Kermit who has changed in the ways he has lately. Nor would I want kids to watch it...

That reminds me, I just finished watching Cat People for the first time. Now THAT was a weird horror film!

Cool, what's that about? And oh yes, M, lol: "Just you wait, it won't be long. The man in black will soon be here. With his cleaver's blade so true. He'll make mincemeat out of you!"

17 Things Kermit has done that are worse than living in a mansion.

Exactly! I think in the '70s, it was more hip to show a female character taking the lead and showing her strength, while still providing humor about herself. Today a lot of that has disappeared and women are treated as objects of ridicule, especially if they aren't super skinny. Right, their...

In the spirit of Halloween - your favorite movies to watch this time of year!

This year I discovered the 1986 film House, which is a sort of horror/comedy about a Vietnam Vet whose fears manifest in his haunted childhood home. Very funny at times, I'd recommend! My father and I like watching some of the early Hollywood monster films; they just don't make them like that...

    Talk about nitpicky!

And if people started constantly correcting you if you ever said "Kermit" again? That wouldn't bother you? I am a bit skeptical. ;) (Not in a mean way, just saying. :) )

Lol, yeah I mean that clip works because of the build up to it, the classy music with a slightly ironic twinge, so you know something's off.
