I agree; I wouldn't have included 9/11 at all to be honest. It borders on bad taste and just because it was technically "on the news" doesn't make it a TV specific moment.
Well to be fair, the process of the law isn't just for him, it's for all of us. It may seem redundant in this case but if they're lax on one person we could all be in trouble.
Because he's likely not well in the head. It's bizarre the way people try to find reasons for these things. Very...
Yeah I mean even if you're not for gay marriage, to deny people and their children health insurance is just cruel. Marriage is a government institution as well as a religious one and there's no reason why Americans in committed relationships shouldn't benefit in that way.
I think the double standard I tend to notice is that men can walk around without worrying about showing hair but if women do it there's something wrong with them. Even though other countries have different standards. But in America we tend to think the way we do things is the only way.
Um why thank you, lol.
I will say American society specifically is far too obsessed with the hair thing. I mean I shave my legs, but it shouldn't be such a big deal if women don't want to sometimes. As far as men, I actually do like a bit of hair on the chest, it does seem more natural.
I meant some of the ones from the '90s and early 2000's.
That's different. That I enjoy. ;) The Muppet Show was edgy. Whereas Muppets Tonight and some of the later movies, has others have said, felt like a child trying too hard to seem edgy.
I loved astronomy class in school. Mainly when we got to visit the planetarium at The Natural History Museum. Seeing the universe is a very humbling experience. :)
Plus The Natural History Museum has the Human Origins exhibit with video clips of scientists talking about how they reconcile...
Rugrats is the kind of jumping the shark that really broke my heart because it had started out as such a witty, clever show. The networks just run these wonderful shows into the ground until there's nothing left. It's really awful from an artistic point of view.
I've heard that story. Frankly I'm skeptical of the results, hehe. You don't know which episodes they chose or how they presented it. You have to do it with a plan. It was a good idea for Sesame Street to talk about divorce too, but their execution was off. The same could have been the case...
He could have been widower or something. The Bible doesn't really present a full biography of a lot of figures, lol. Just mainly focuses on their words which I guess are the most important.
Gotcha. See that I like more because it gets to the heart of how excessive drinking can ruin your life. It explains why, whereas Paul often just sounds like a scolding parent going "it's a sin; nevermind why!", lol.
But that's another topic, hehe.
Is that Paul saying that? There is the school of thought that Jesus' words are the more important and that Paul was a bit of a zealot. I get what you're saying that that's the kind of hypocrisy that's being referred to. But even there I would question whether that's hypocrisy. But of course that...
Well not exactly. They just recognize the historical context of the Bible. Some things were symbolic and some things were part of primitive society and shouldn't be carried over into today.
