If A Company of Fools were stranded on a desert island and had to survive by their wits (which would end pretty quickly), who would be voted off the island first?
We haven't gotten to those levels just yet, but as I said, as far as our grocery stores are concerned, some of them have placed "PLEASE WAIT HERE" markers on the floor, six feet apart from each other at the check-out lines.
Otherwise, with the major exception of paper products, cleaning...
Today was my first day of trying to go curbside pick-up/to-go from a restaurant (Olive Garden). Yeah, it was frustrating, and, of course, since the restaurant it all the way on the other side of town, obviously the food wasn't as hot and fresh as it would be actually sitting in the restaurant...
Technically, yes, but I feel I'm more lumped into that generation, despite not falling into most of the stigmas and stereotypes that fall upon said generation, since much of our culture depicts Millennials as being college-aged kids and younger . . . it's almost kind of like when you're an...
Meanwhile, the powers that be keep insisting that old people are willing to sacrifice their lives if it means saving our economy. Yes, this is what some of them are actually saying.
And yet, in a somewhat ironic twist of fate, it's looking like presently, it's not the older generations with...
Wow. Just, wow. This is quite a long read, but it really puts thing into many different perspectives (even to the point that the upcoming generation will now be refered to as Gen C because these babies are being born during the coronavirus pandemic)...
Oh snap.

Meanwhile, I've...
Kroger is really big down here; ours has a Starbucks kiosk that's completely closed, and the table and chairs have been removed. Fast-food restaurants are drive-thru and/or carry-out only; dining restaurants were only allowing a small number of people to dine-in at a time, but now they're...
This morning when I last checked, we were over 600 cases in my state . . . as of this afternoon, we're nearly 1,000. The grocery stores have signs on the floor at the check-out lines, and such spaced six feet apart from each other that say "PLEASE WAIT HERE."
In another thread, you mentioned that you're Asian. Of what Asian ethnicity are you? I remember we've had at least one member of Korean descent here years ago.
If you've seen any of Jerry's cartoons, almost every single one of his character is some form of an otherwise distasteful stereotype, but always played for laughs, as he's very much what you would call an "equal-opportunity offender."
Yeah, I just saw on national news that, evidently, the doctors in my state are urging our governor to do the same, since our number of confirmed cases continue to rise, with seemingly no sign of flattening the curve in sight.
I'm with Sarge though, I'm not keen on the idea of a stay-at-home...
Of course not, there's definitely a solace there, and it's usually a form of escape anyway - particular if I find myself becoming so immersed into a certain project.
It's not even a matter of feeling like "the world owes me everything," I never even said that. However, it isn't even necessary to kick dirt into someone's face over whatever they've lived through and say "it's your own fault your life sucks anyway," when much of what's the cause of your life...
