I'll admit, I'm very disapointed I'll never have a Nigel, Lewis Kazzager, Tuxedo Animal, Thog, Doglion or a thousand other figures, and I too was Heart-broken, mad as all h - e double hockey sticks, cry like a seven-year-old school girl when it was announced that the contract wasn't going to be...
Me too, I've wondered what their screen names are. I also read that Richard Hunt's family frequents the forum and it's rumored that Steve Whitmire, Dave Goelz and other big Muppet names watch the forums as guests.
So I was looking at Jim's bio on IMDB.com when I come across that he iwas uncredited for a role as a minor in Ernest Goes to Camp. WHA?!?!? Now it's been awhile since I've seen that movie (of which I really enjoyed), but is this right? Can anyone shed some light on this!?!?
He's also listed as...
The important thing is what fans call and consider them... from Fraggles to frogs, Koozebanians to Carrots, Big Birds to Bears in blue houses, monsters to Mayhem members and Grumpy old men to Grover, we all know, refer to, and love them as Muppets.
It's not so much the puppeteers (although there are some performances I don't care for) who worry me, but the writers and directors. Making Muppet magic relys heavily on them.
Just about all my stuff is in my parents attic except for my Palisades figures and Time/Life DVDs (all 15!), so I don't remember what's up there, but here are my Muppet figures:
My marvelous Muppet action figures
It's not much, but I love 'em!
I used to care about numbers, but then it took three tries to get to post number 500 (the tubs/bath deletion  )
But now I don't care at all. I have made LOTS of friends here at MC, and I'm no longer considered a thread killer, so... uh guys? Guys? Hey where'd everybody go? Oh man...
I'd be curious and interested to be surveyed, and I'd be willing to write a paragraph or two or seven-hundred and twenty-eight as well. Also, please send apologies to your friends as per no one responding to their thread. If I'd seen it I would have gladly responded.
BTW - Nice write-up, Luke!
I heard a song called "Friendship" sung by Kermit, Robin and 'the Whales'. They seem to have a weird (and slightly annoying) under-water vibrato to their voices at parts. It say s it was from the Muppet Show, so here are my questions:
1. What episode (guest star?) was this and what season?
2...
We've waited so long, it's finally (almost) here!
"If I had one of those light-saber thingies, I'd be like: 'Snikt, snikt, WAH JEDI!', slice open tubby here, crawl inside 'em and keep warm for the night, snoogans."
