Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
it bothers me too, but I like looking at things like this. It may be the "what could have been" air about it but it's also to see how things have changed, or how different it could have been had these projects went though as planned. One article in the wiki hits me hardest, about a movie called...
Got the book last Monday as a (day early) birthday present. It was a great read, a nice addition to my library as well. Jones' elaboration on Jim's career, especially his early start on Sam and Friends, while also doing more experimental film and animation work, really interested me. For the...
I'm very disheartened by this... you know,
it's sad that people are so greedy and manipulative,
it's sad that we may be losing the talents of one of the best in the business,
and as for Kevin's rep, well it's untarnished in my eyes and I support him, like we all have.
I agree that Toy Story 3 left it off at a good point, and I have no clue how they'd continue the story after that. The shorts are awesome though, the new one with Rex and the bath toys was funny.
As far as other sequels go, as long as they have a good story.
Haha, That's an interesting thought.
But that brings up a good point, because now, not only does Disney have the rights to Star Wars and Indy, they have access to ILM, one of the major animation/cg effects studios out there right now. I'm pretty sure that they'll meld together with their own...
The playing feild just got a bit more interesting didn't it?
I was pretty shocked by this but considering how long Disney and Lucas have collaborated on projects (especially the theme park attractions like Star Tours) it kind of makes sense. Hopefully the quality of the new trilogy will be...
My two favorites would have to be Movin' Right Along (So energetic!) and Hope That Somethin' Better Comes Along (cause they added that other verse that isn't in the movie). :D
When I think about it that comes as no surprize. I mean with over 40 years of story material, it's gotta be tough to think of something tottally origional.
That does sound like an intresting fanfic by the way. The AM
Now that'd be something to see. I'd assume it would be stop-motion to match...
When I saw this thread I thought: "what could they possibly make a movie about". I like the superhero/Super Grover idea, with all the superhero related movies coming out and gaining popularity (most of them anyway..). An Idea that I thought would be cool...though I admit not all that origional...
I would love to see more of Walter, even on the new season sets of The Muppet Show. Kinda like what DannyRWW said, he could introduce episodes like Brian Henson did back when they aired TMS on Hallmark (or even "fan commentary" type stuff).
I just saw The Muppets this evening. I can’t describe how fantastic it was! (But I sure can try). This was the FIRST muppet movie I’ve had the honor of actually seeing in theaters, what a thrilling experience. Now, I don’t know what has/hasn’t already been said but I’m sorry if I repeat.
First...
I dunno if it's recomended but when i used feathers for one of my puppets, i used hot glue....and i use hotglue for everything. Tbey stick rather well on their own just don't yank on em or they will come off.
I see irony that the day he chose to mention that was 9/24.....but other than that I personally did not take offence, and i'm a semi (ir)regular puppeteer....i know this is internet chiche' but.."hater's gunna hate"
I still stand by what i said before, I love TGWTG, and i've been getting into some other reviewers at the site as well (one of them actually reviewed the muppet movie, for it's music, but still, and it was a POSTIVE review :D )
If he does another "Raiders of the Story Arch" though I think he...
When it comes to this show in my own opinion, the show shoulda been cancelled after the whole Jon stepping out with other ladies thing that happend. It was an interesting idea for a show and as long as they were having a good time with it (both parents and kids). But then it just got way too...
that's good, but a few of those have stuck with me..i hate dreams like that too you can't stop thinking about em. I remember bad dreams more often than i remember good dreams..weird how that works eh?
