Thank you, Mrs. Pepper. However, reality is what it is. And by the way, I am the ultimate thread killer hands down! (At least that's something I can claim to be the best at though, right? HAHAHAHA! :) ).
Seeing "The Cosby Show" listed in this last post, I thought of "The Bill Cosby Show" from 1969-1971. I loved that show! But probably not too many here have seen it. The enormously popular one from the 80's I thought was an okay show but I didn't love it. Bill was too intelligent as Dr. Huxtable...
There's one from the early 70's I got a kick out of but I'm not exactly sure what kind of animals were in it. Orangutans maybe? It showed a bunch of these sitting around and maikng very interesting (and funny to a small child!) noises. Sounded like, "Myu! Myu hoo!". They all kept doing a sound...
Today I thought of one that I haven't thought of for a long time. The one with the guy paddling through the river in that kayak. And he repeatedly did loops under the water. This one seemed to be replayed quite often on SS. I always enjoyed the music (although rather repetitive) in this one too...
Didn't realize we were both replying to this at the exact same time, mikebennidict. :)
And just looked at the link, that's pretty good. Lefty also could have said, "And if you want to know how many husbands Elizabeth Taylor has had ... you look at the eight!"
Boy is that ever a hilarious line! The 9 would come in handy if you want to know what day of the month August 9th comes on! Great! That'd be like saying, "You should buy this letter P. It is useful to tell you if you ever want to know what the fourth letter of elephant is!
Yeah I had thought...
Yeah, I guess it was just such a let down for Ernie since Bert had told him he had an idea for something to do that was EVEN MORE exciting than a parade, a circus, and a birthday party. I also was kind of glad Ernie was so down right through the end because Bert so often ended up exasperated at...
Yes indeed. Now getting back to some more anything muppets, I thought of one today where an anything muppet leads a group of ra ra ra anything muppets and says, "Give me an A!" They say, "A!" then he says, "Give me a B!" And he continues to about F. Then he says, "What's that spell?" And...
Ok mike I apologize for overreacting. I think I took it the wrong way only because it had also seemed like the prior thing you said to me was on the harsh side too. But I am admittedly oversensitive a lot of times. You're a good guy and friend.
I love the meatball sub and I love the turkey sub (with extra mayo!) but my favorite is the Subway Seafood Sensation (formerly called Seafood and Crab). I get this one the most frequently. And a bag of doritios goes great with the subs (except for maybe the meatball one). And then oatmeal raisin...
That was a another great Lefty and Ernie one. One line in this one that Lefty says is, "And if you want to know how many reindeer Santa Claus has (I think Lefty pronounced it "Santy") you look at the eight." Then Ernie says, "Eight reindeer!" Then, of course the SHHH!!!!!!!! When I was little...
Glad to hear the job situation is going better for you, redBoobergurl. And that you have other prospects you can opt for after the wedding. I hope to find another job in the future too, since I now live in a house almost an hour away and am thus spending a ridiculous amount of money in driving...
Okay so in one place I accidentally typed "letter 11" instead of "number 11" and didn't catch it. I'm sure you never made a typing mistake in any of your posts. And it's also nice of you to comment on the skit I actually commented about, as others have done.
I'm sorry to be sarcastic, but I had...
Hi redBoobergurl. I just thought I'd pass on a couple of things. You had mentioned before about your job being stressful at times and how you sometimes take it out on those closest to you, the ones you love the most. right? (in this case, your fiance).
I was engaged before and it fell through...
b sketches
Of course a great classic b sketch was "B is for bubble".
Other good ones that I can't remember all the b words to:
Except the bear tapping the beehive one:
1,2..3,4,5 watch the bees go in their hive (tah teh tihtihtihtihtihtihtih, tah teh tihtihtihtihtihtihtih - bear tapping...
Thought of an anything girl muppet with what I think was the letter 11 at that brick wall. She wanted to show how the 11 looked the same upside down. So the screen moved everything (her and the wall too) until they were upside down. And she was perfectly fine with it and remained upbeat (saying...
Wow I usually know almost all of them from the early 70's, but #'s 3 and 4 aren't coming to me. Maybe if someone who recalls them gives some details they might, though. Even #5 I am blurry on a lot of details but pretty sure I saw it.
Very good Sesame Mike! Pretty creative there. That would have been neat if they had done several skits with Bert addressing the w lovers.
And you gave me a good idea to what to change my signature to for the next few days. ;)
I saw other people had listed "The Flintstones" and I always loved that show and thought it was extremely creative and funny, so I included it in my honorable mentions. But I almost didn't since it is a cartoon. But then I thought, "Well, it DID show on primetime back in the 60's originally, and...
