Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Since it's almost the holiday season, I figured I'd start a thread asking people what Muppet stuff they askedf for for Christmas this year. Here's what i put on my list.
- It's Not Easy Being Green book and cd
- Palisades Super Grover Figure
- TMM DVD
- TGMC DVD
- MTI DVD
So what did...
Sounds really good. I asked for both the book and the CD for christmas, so I look forward to having them both. This is by far one of the best books that talks about Jim and his characters.:) :sympathy: :p
I would so love to have these tapes again, if I can ever find them. What's interesting is that the tapes were both sold in stores individually and in a two-pack. I first got them individually when I was three years old, but then got rid of them. Then I saw them at another store on sale, this...
These people are old enough to make their own decisions. If they decide to retire from the Muppets, it is their choice. I'm also sure that they keep in close contact wit the people there. Frank also mentioned in that interveiw that he considers the people at Henson his "second family" and he...
I think I might be able to clear something up here. According to an interview with Ken Plume, Frank tries to distance himself from the Muppets because he is afraid of getting too much popularity with that kind of work. He is a very private man and he jsut feels that this is best for him. The...
I think that because the Muppets are starting to become more popular all over again, it's high time that Henson considered releasing the special out on DVD, only this time, unedited.
Ummmmmm.......... I can't seem to get them on my computer. Every time I click on "click here to download", it always says that the page cannot be displayed. What's wrong with the link?
I don't think so. It wasn't shown like that in the episode. The way it looked was that it was like a giant layered wedding cake with a little Uncle Matt figure at the top, which was then eaten by Red :excited: and Wembley.
There was also "Radish Maragne Cake" in the season 2 episode, "Welcome Back Matt". I wouldn't mind trying something like that, despite the fact that it has radishes in it.
I just got the special yesterday and all I can say is WOW.:) It is by far one of the best specials for Sesame Street ever. When I started watching it, I almost cried during the opening clip montage. I also want to pinpoint that this is 99% bettter than the 35th anniversery special, and I also...
Of all the specials that I've seen so far in my life, I would have to say "Sesame Street: 20 and Still Counting". I would also like to see "Julie on Sesame Street" and "Sesame Street Unpaved" if anyone has them.:)
