    Challenges, Triumphs and Pixie Dust!

And@CensoredAlso, don't worry about getting older. I'll be turning 50 in a few short hours and still don't feel like I'm over 18. My midlife crisis had a whole decade to show up and never did. I've been roaming this planet longer than just about anyone else, ten presidents, and still do not feel...

What made you roll your eyes today thread?

I think it's ironic there's another school shooting the same day of another mass walkout 19 years after Columbine.

    Challenges, Triumphs and Pixie Dust!

Facebook can be like a fun house mirror. Very distorted image. A lot of people love posting how perfect their life is. Dream house, dream job, perfect spouse, perfect kids who never cause any trouble, everything is wine and roses. It's hardly ever like that. Some people are just better than...

The new What Made You Smile Today thread

I usually get a few hundred back from the state. But federal worked out better (not because of Trump) but at my new job I started at the end of ''16, I had the maximum taxes taken out (claim married, 0 dependents). Not enough to buy a yacht, but pay a lot of bills. At least I might have enough...

Stay away from any establishment called "International Buffet". There were a few locations around here until the Health Inspectors shut them down.

    Questions about anything

Well, crapping out the window, you'd have to put a little effort in. Not that I ever did this, just in theory. Bombs away.

    What made you angry today?

Well being motivated to make a move is the first step. It's too bad there are many out there who are in abusive environments, but stay there. Whether it's abusive parents, partners, spouses, bosses, some people suffer for years. But they don't make a move because of fear, or they get used to...

    What made you angry today?

Suicide and homicide won't end well for anybody. My dad was just as abusive, and an alcoholic too. Made life impossible . So when I was 19, I moved out. Wasn't easy, I struggled for years, but I didn't have to live under his roof anymore. I don't want you to suffer, but if things get bad enough...

Let's see how many replies we can get to this post!

Originally when Paul wrote it for Ringo to sing, the line was "Would you throw tomatoes at me?" So glad he changed it. Pity poor Ringo or Joe Cocker getting pelted with tomato bombs. Eventually the line was used years later on Animaniacs (see "Woodstock Slappy"). Tell them the fuzzy guy sent ya.

You know sumptin? That is the best Beatle cover tune ever. I think Walmart is using it in a commercial now, showing people volunteering to help disaster victims or something. The Beatles had a zillion people cover their songs. Most versions are crap. But Joe Cocker nailed it.

    First Middle Last (3 frogs)

Ziffel, is that really you????!!! Haven't heard from you in a year of Sundays! Now there is someone back on the forum older than me, no small feat! Pleasantries aside, I vaguely remember this one. Haven't seen this since Carter was president.

The New Am I The Only One Thread

Myspace had it's share of bullying. But when Facebook was launched Zuckerberg made a proclamation that any inherent problems with MySpace would be a thing of the past. How did that work out for him? Sadly, anytime people can log in anywhere and express their views without consequences, or...

My vote for the earliest (1966) John Entwistle, "Boris the Spider". One of the coolest bass riffs too.
