Do you want Rowlf as Toto?

Although Rowlf is the right species for Toto, I think Pepe would fit the part better in terms of size and, more importantly, personality (Not that Toto had much of a personality, but if he did, I could see it being more like Pepe's than Rowlf's).

Did you notice an Elmo's World change?

I was watching my local PBS station this morning, and Sesame Street had rearranged the contents of at least one of its episodes. The episode number was (I think) 4048 (the street segment was the one with Telly and Baby Bear trying to convince Rosita that a frog she found was actually a prince)...

    Sesame Street Bloopers/Technical Difficulties

That also happened in at least one of this season's Journey to Ernie segments.

    Forgetful Jones does Oklahoma?

I remember that sketch (not the exact wording, but the punchline: Jones: Aaaaaaaaa-klahoma, where the wind... Kermit: Cut! It's Oklahoma. Take two. Jones: Eeeeeeeee-klahoma, where the wind... Kermit: Cut! It's Oklahoma. Take three. Jones: Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii-klahoma, where... Kermit...

Who will be on Sesame Street next season?

As long as, being the 35th season, they have some older clips on, I'll be happy. I can even imagine Cookie Monster's letter of the day segment being replaced in one episode with him singing "C is for cookie." Just a dream, though; We'll have to wait till the next season actually premires before...

    Screennames

My screen name comes from the fact that I try to keep a balance among all the different things that I enjoy in life. (In fact, just yesterday I bought a book instead of a Gonzo action figure).

TO ALL COLLEGE STUDENTS: please help me with this survey

    1. Do you know what career you want to go into? Yes 2. How many classes are you taking? Right now I'm in student teaching. This is an 18-hour semester. Previously, I had done 16 or 17 hours (about six classes) 3. Do any of those classes get in the way of your career path? How so? I...

    Middle Names

My middle name isn't particularly embarrassing, which is good, because it's what my parents chose to call me, and everyone else (myself included) followed suit. It does get weird, though, when I have to explain that I only use the numerical suffix with the first initial because neither my dad...

    Ages?

I'm old enough not to legally be required to answer questions about my age. But young enough (23 at the end of the month) not to care.

    NPR on Daws Butler

Yeah, I heard that on the radio. I thought it was very interesting, especially when Butler was referred to as "The Stanislavsky of cartoons." Of course, it helps that I took a theatre appreciation course last semester and had heard of Stanislavsky.

Kid's Programming that Makes You Want to Question Life Itself

That's exactly what I mean. Sometimes the songs are actually decent, but they are often poorly integrated with the surrounding dialogue, which is often corny in and of itself.

Kid's Programming that Makes You Want to Question Life Itself

If you guys think that things intended for children to watch are bad, you should see some of the drivel they make children perform. And I'm a Christian who's very active in church, so I know what I'm talking about.

DVD Series of every Sesame Street episode ever made

But even with all the Star Trek series, even if they were including the animated episodes and the movies, there still wouldn't be 4056 hours' worth of material.

"Lucy Must Be Traded Charlie Brown" airs on August 29th

And that, of course, is because those came from stage plays based on the comics.

"Lucy Must Be Traded Charlie Brown" airs on August 29th

I enjoyed the special. Of course, I had already seen the specific comics on which the first half of the story (where Snoopy gets traded) was based, but I think that the approach of making new shows directly from the comics works.

How do you want to go out?

I don't care what they do for me when I go (MANY years from now), as long as they tell everyone why I am where I am (heaven, that is). "OVer the Rainbow" would be a really good song to play, as long as they don't let the CD run too long to "Ding! Dong! The Witch is Dead!" ;)

    Sesame Street censorship

That's because Sesame Street's target audience is very young children, while the other Muppets skew, in theory at least, to an adult audience. And besides, Big Bird did say the word that means "to mend socks" on last season's Journey to Ernie segments.

    Largest Monster on the Street

Natural scale? As in the scale on which the soles of any of those monsters' feet are dangling in midair at about the level of Big Bird's thigh?

    What Are Your Favorite Sit-Coms?

I enjoy lots of sitcoms. In no particular order: Happy Days (although it lost something when Richie left, and the year they spun Joanie Loves Chachi off into a separate series was a HUGE mistake) The Cosby Show Home Improvement Full House (especially when I was younger and it was first on)...

    COMIC STRIP COMPLAINT, Etc.

I enjoy most of the comics, especially "The Far Side" and its imitators. There are some comics that our state paper does not carry that I will make a special trip to the Internet for. Among these are "For Better or for Worse," the "Peanuts" reprints, and the weekday "Popeye" reprints (even...
