Hello everyone! I'm a lifelong muppet fan. My favorite teether was Big Bird. I cried the day after my first birthday because my dad turned off Gonzo so he could record me.
I love puppets and have made a full sized Sprocket puppet which was signed by Steve Whitmire because it wasn't a bootleg (thank you, butterick's lazy pattern maker).
My favorite muppet hasn't changed in the past 39 years, it's still Gonzo.
I've been stealthily reading the forum on and off for over 20 years, yet like a weirdo, I never joined. I decided it's probably time to join in.

Hi there!

My name is James, and I'm 18 years old.

As a kid, both "Sesame Street" & "The Electric Company" have been some of my favorite edu shows growing up.

I won't be one of those guys that spams here and there (I'm usually very busy in my life, so please be aware, so I won't over post replies & such here).

Right now, I'm currently working on (or simply help expand) The Electric Company Wiki (the one about the old and new show); which surprisingly, I have been doing since 2023 (time flies…)

If you've got any messages or questions, please feel free to ask me in advance!

That's all!

Hello! I'm Andy, 24, male from San Antonio, Texas.

I'm not a Muppet scholar the way most others are here, but I like all those crazy critters enough that I figured it couldn't hurt to join this place. My main driving force here, funnily enough, are the new NECA figures.

You can also find me on the SuperheroHype Forums under this same name, and if anyone wants to follow me anywhere else, all they have to do is ask. My posting may be sporadic, but I'm happy to be here regardless!

I haven't been here in eons so let me reintroduce myself.

I'm John from Texas and I grew up watching Sesame Street in the 80s, as did my sister.
I enjoy watching classic stuff on YouTube AND I bought both the Old School Volumes 2 and 3 on DVD.

I’ve been a fan of The Muppets, and the artistry behind them for a lot of my life.
I grew up on Bear In The Big Blue House, Sesame Street, but the real magic came when I truly discovered the muppets…

One evening I was up late, my mom was sick and I was taking care of her.. so I turned the tv on and started flipping through the channels, and I stumbled across a broadcast of The Muppets Take Manhattan. I was hooked, shortly after I started picking up comic books and I remember when the 2011 movie came out. I’ve never forgotten the magic I felt when Kermit & the gang were there that one particular night. It’s like they in turn were looking after me too.

After watching the brand new instalment of The Muppet Show last night.. I realized I had to seek out the lovers and the dreamers of the world. so here I sit, nice to meet you too!

Are you new to Muppet Central? Then this is the discussion for you.

Please introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about your Muppet experiences and interests. Did you get into the Muppets at an early age or just recently? What are some of your favorite Muppet memories, characters, movies, or shows?

Whatever your perspective on Henson's creations you are welcome here and we're looking forward to getting to know you!
I had to reply because I couldn’t see a “post thread” thingy.. I grew up with Muppets it started with “Sesame Street” then “The Muppet Show”.. I always tended to look at “The Muppet Show” as a “Sesame Street” spinoff… I heard it’s coming back.. A lot of people have ideas for guest stars… I have an idea but I’m not sure how most people on here would take it.. They are pretty much family friendly (just translate the lyrics) in spite of of thier rough edge.. let’s just say if Alice Cooper can guest on the original show… then.. 😉
