The official series premiere has been released to the Sesame Street Classics YouTube channel.

Yes the HBO Max edit was released instead of the original version as telecast on NET but still.

What I find most weird is that they tacked on the closing from episode 5 but didn’t show the credits. I don’t know why they couldn’t just leave it unedited. Maybe it’s because the company is no longer called Children’s Television Workshop, and hasn’t been for 25 years now.

I also wanted to point out that they have also uploaded a bunch of more recent episodes to their regular YouTube channel. So it’s like they uploaded a whole bunch of episodes to their regular channel but only one episode to their classic channel. Though I don’t think they ever post as much on the classic channel as they do the normal channel. I’m guessing they’ll just be posting one classic episode per week, at the most.

That's what I'm thinking, given that the segments are now being uploaded on Wednesdays instead of Fridays

Even with the risk of edits, I do genuinely hope more episodes that haven’t been (legally) publicly released yet will be posted and it’s not just gonna be a simple case of “We’re just dumping whatever we previously had on our HBO library and ending it there.”

I wonder if they are gonna start uploading the snow episodes soon, or any other christmas special since they counted Christmas Eve on Sesame Street as a full episode.

I bet they're releasing the most popular ones first and then a collection of previously-released Max episodes later down the line.

I bet they're releasing the most popular ones first and then a collection of previously-released Max episodes later down the line.

And I think chances are they’re probably just going to end it there after all the “popular” or “historic” episodes and anything else that was available on the HBO Max library are uploaded.

I really don’t want to be pessimistic about this but I really can’t see the workshop willingly going out of their way to be posting up episodes with a historic context to it or ones that have been previously posted on the HBO Max library to them suddenly randomly uploading a season 6 episode that may or may not have been leaked from the AAPB and uploaded on YouTube from someone way too comfortable uploading unauthorized full episodes from a government-controlled website. I almost sense “bare minimum” vibes with what they plan to upload.

I mean with all of that in mind, if there are new episodes that haven’t been (legally) released to the public then I’ll be amazed. But right now my expectations are just… pretty low with all of this.
