If I’m not mistaken, all Dave Goelz Muppets have been announced. Also, my prediction for #68 will go to some other Muppet. I know Beverly Plume, the Newsman, and Miss Piggy are 3 of the remaining 5. Time will tell who the other 2 will be.

Wha-huh? How do you know three of the last five Muppets to be featured?

A mix of observation and intuition, really. Plus, we got a glimpse of Newsie somewhere on the 70 Years page on Muppet Wiki.

I have a feeling they’ll only showcase Muppets who have been featured in productions that are accessible on Disney+ and under Disney’s corporate umbrella (The Muppet Show, The Muppet Movie, The Great Muppet Caper, MuppetVision 3D, The Muppet Christmas Carol, Muppet Treasure Island, The Muppets (2011), Muppets Most Wanted, The Muppets (2015), Muppets Now, Muppets’ Haunted Mansion, The Muppets’ Mayhem, and even the Muppet Babies reboot).

Considering they have not yet made The Muppets at Walt Disney World or Muppets Tonight accessible, I suspect they’ll be leaving out Clifford. I’ll give them a few weeks to prove me wrong.

Eh, fair theory, but... Though Andy and Randy made their true debut in Muppet Classic Theater in 1994, their true rise to Muppet notoriety was during Muppets Tonight from 1996 to 1998, so I wouldn't give up on Clifford or Dr. Phil van Neuter until all five remaining entries have been revealed.

I forgot to mention that Yolanda and Bubba debuted in The Muppets Take Manhattan and Muppets From Space, respectively. Neither of the movies are under Disney’s ownership, but the rats would appear in later Muppet productions.

Okay, the first of C to the J's mentioned trio just got confirmed, as Beverly Plume is #66, which makes all the sense in the world as her week runs from November 21 to November 27—known as Thanksgiving Thursday. (Immediately followed by November 28, known here as Kermit Green & Red Friday).

So that means one of my final five: Miss Piggy; The Newsman; Clifford; Dr. Phil van Neuter; and Jim will get bumped to get us to the end total of 70 character spotlights. Unless my theory gets confirmed that since she had a solo spotlight appearance at last year's D23 convention to start the campaign, Miss Piggy is already counted as Entry #0. We'll just have to wait and see what happens in the next four weeks.

I thought so! I did bring her up on this thread, like, four times before today. This makes her the third Julianne Buescher character to be showcased, the other two being Yolanda and La Cabra/the Screaming Goat. Can’t wait to see the fan art coming up on Instagram.

Sorry to be posting here so late, my computer just did not want to connect to the internet all day yesterday. Entry #67 was revealed as :news:, so that's another one off of my list and keeps the possibility of Miss Piggy as #0 alive for another week, we're down to the last three folks.

Newsman is 67. I've kinda been banking on Annie Sue being included as they were probably seeking any female representation, and it seems she'll appear in the TMS reboot as Louise Gold was shown working on it.

The final spot... Clifford, Phil Van Neuter, JP Grosse, Louis Kazagger (I think he was soft-deconfirmed), Bobby Benson

George isn’t as obscure as Phil is.
Disagree. It felt like Phil was everywhere in the late-'90s/early-2000s: Muppets Tonight, From Space, a boss in RaceMania, getting his own Palisades figure... I'm really shocked that it seems all but certain he's not making this list.

The list is pretty bad at the end of the day when you look at the likes of the screaming goat or tomato being included over some of the characters I mentioned earlier who will not be making it.
