Entry #63 has been revealed earlier than normal this week and I'm a bit outraged. Not that I have anything against George the Janitor, but to have him be the entry featured this week? On Halloween Day?! It should have been like C to the J guessed, Dr. Phil van Neuter!

BTW: We're 9/10 complete, only seven weeks left to go to complete the run.

I can think of a couple of reasons they went with the 6th Frank Oz Muppet (the others being Animal, Sam, Fozzie, the Snowths, and Marvin).

This Muppet week is only 1/7 October and 6/7 November.

They already showcased a spooky Muppet (Uncle Deadly).

Users might try to look up part of Dr. Phil van Neuter’s name.

George isn’t as obscure as Phil is.

I guess that was more than a couple.

This week may be 1/7 October and 6/7 November, but it's 3/7 Halloweenish what with Halloween today; All Souls Day tomorrow; and the Day of the Dead on Sunday. It should have Dr. Phil van Neuter this week and George the Janitor next week. :grr:

I have noticed an implication on The Muppets’ Instagram just now: George has been rebuilt for the Muppet Show reboot. Last week, Gaffer got the same treatment. If that’s any indication, they might reintroduce long retired Muppets. I wonder if Eric Jacobson could take on the role of the crotchety custodian. If not, my second guess would be Peter Linz.

When the Muppets get older, losing their fur.
Many years since then.
Will they still get a Valentine?
Birthday greetings, bottle of wine?
If they've been out till quarter past 3.
Would J. P. lock the theater door?
Will you still need them, will you still feed them...
Purina Chow, now that Baskerville's #64.

If that’s a poem of some sort, well done.

Baskerville’s another character I wasn’t expecting - three weeks in a row. And also three dogs to be featured in the campaign. Maybe he’ll also be rebuilt for the reboot and Matt Vogel can tweak his Big Bird voice to perform him.

@C to the J, that's a bit of a reworked version of the song "When I'm 64" by The Beatles since Baskerville was featured as this week's entry. :batty: :sing:

I’m late to this but I am shocked they seemingly built a new George puppet, what are they going to even do with him? Even as someone who enjoys a lot of of obscure Muppets I still find this very odd.

If they can find roles for Uncle Deadly, Chip, and whomever was absent/uncommon prior to the 2010s, I’m sure they’ll think of something.
