I saw the news that Max has renewed Sesame Street for season 56 after all. But as a result, some changes are being made. The writers and producers realize it needs to attract adults as well as kids, so they have to focus less on kindness (which have been making a number of Max and even Sesame Workshop executives sick to their stomach), end with curriculums and current social issues in favor of what the writers and producers want to teach, and give the show a bit of edge.

According to one producer, "we've decided we need to focus on teaching kids about punishment. Elmo will be a victim this year, with episodes in which he deals with being sent to the corner, going to bed without supper, and getting his first spanking. I know modern society looks down on spankings, but I was spanked when I was a kid and I turned out fine. After all, I produce for Sesame Street now!"

But Elmo will not be the only one punished. Big Bird will be sent to his nest after a round of name-calling, Bert will send Ernie to the corner after the latter makes him really upset, and Zoe will ground Rocko (to Elmo's pleasure). Fans of Harvey Kneeslapper will be happy to see him show up once an episode, and those who hate Harvey Kneeslapper will enjoy seeing him get a spanking for his pranks. Says the head of marketing, "we're going to work hard so that there'll be a Harvey Kneeslapper toy by next Christmas, and not just by Neca or Super7".

Other plots and lessons will include not getting everything you want on your birthday, having to miss out in fun in favor of homework and chores, and babysitters learning that they should not just assume the kids they babysit are as smart as the kids from '90s movies like Home Alone or Baby's Day Out. Also, in gratitude for Max renewing the show, there will be a new character named Max, who will be the shows perfect role model. Max will introduce each episode with a classic song and end the episode with a discussion of the episodes lesson, and occasionally take part in the plot. No word yet on what Max will be.

APRIL FOOLS!
I kind of knew this was an April fool's joke, but that would be cool if that happened if they can show Michelle Tanner and Nicky and Alex Katsopolis getting disciplined on "Full House," then why not the SS muppets? Though Big Bird really did get a time out one time.
