Holy cow guys..... This build has chewed me up and spit me out. This has been by far the hardest build to date. I would have never attempted this if my almost 2 year old daughter didn't now have a love for Abby (And the wife pressuring me to build it). I think I built everything at least 3-5 times on this and spent way too much time and money (lot's of amazon packages). I know she still isn't identical to the real thing, but this is good enough for me. I probably need create a better wand lol. Anyways, as always ask me anything. I did a write up of my journey at: https://www.puppetstitches.com/abby-cadabby-build/
Thanks!

Thanks so much for writing up your process for these replicas, I've only found them recently and it's been very informative and enjoyable to read about them!

Can I ask: what is the purpose of boiling the faux fur as you did for Abby Cadabby here?

In general, boiling fur is a good way to remove the shiny sheen it often comes with, or, depending on the character, to give it a more rugged and worn look. With Abby, I did this because I wanted to dull the pink, making it less of a hot pink. I also wanted the fur to look more rugged, so it wouldn’t all lie in the same direction. My goal was to get it to stick out a bit, making it easier to trim since the fur I purchased has a very short pile.

I see! It looks like it worked great for Abby, she looks fantastic - I’ll have to give it a try sometime. Thanks for the reply!
