Hi!
I was looking at the various posts here, about things like the Fraggle books, plushes, toys etc. and I was wondering... will Fraggle Rock ever be as popular as what it was in the 80s? Let me explain...
In the 80s, Fraggle Rock was only on HBO, which, at the time was not very widely...
You can definitely tell it's Japanese :)

Does anyone here have the ability to translate it? I believe that Gobo kept his name in the translation but as far as other Fraggles go, I dunno... I would love to know what they're singing!

Well, in "The Gorg Who Would Be King", Junior decides there will be no king, and then throws the crown away. At the end of the episode, Doc and Sprocket find a huge metal crown-like object, which is the crown that Junior threw.
I would imagine that when needed, the magical separations between...
Thats one of the things I wish they would put on the DVDs, is the old promos etc.... I love to see old TV commercials. Man, some of those 80s commercials poured on the cheese....

Well, I think in the Fraggle timeline, the Fraggles visited Fozzie's Mom's house before the final three episodes - the reason is that when the Fraggles visit the house, Doc asks Sprocket "Are those the fraggles you keep telling me about?"
At least, that's what I think....
-Rick "Wembley"...
Well, my niece loved the music and dancing... but being about 2 is a little young to really get into the Fraggles.
One thing I did learn though-- make a backup copy of the disc and leave the backup in the DVD player, to protect the original disc. Turns out my neice DOES know how to eject the...
Whoops --
Looks like I should have read the board BEFORE posting!!! :)
Mods: Feel free to move my other message to its own thread and delete this one. Thanks! :)
I just got home with it and popped it in my DVD player...
Wonderful DVD set - discs 1 thru 4 have all of the shows from season one, and the 5th disc has cast and crew commentary as well as the "Down at Fraggle Rock" special. The video on the shows I've seen so far is crip and clear (at least...
Well like I said before - it all depends on the amount of imagination one has - children have lots of imagination, so they naturally see Fraggles - and accept them as fellow children.
Adults that have more imagination see Fraggles as part of the environment or as small people. That is, like...
...Amateur Radio Field Day that is!
As some of you may know, I hold a Technician class license from the FCC - for you non USians, that is the federal agency that handles communication policy for the US and territories. Canadians call it "Industry Canada" etc...
Anyway, one of the major...
Well, here's my take on it:
Doc is a scientist/inventor - and as such, he's more into the concrete - that is, facts he can prove to be true.
Fraggles, by their very essence are magic! Doc cannot even consider the possibility of magic.
Children, on the other hand, have large...
Wow! I am very sorry to hear that about your grandfather - my dad died of cancer in 2003, he spent the better part of a year fighting it, but it eventually got too bad to deal with.
You know, working with the special-needs kids that I have really causes me to think about just how lucky I am...
Yes, that would be cool. I have the last episode on VHS, recorded from waaaay back when Fraggle Rock was on, and it is definitely starting to show its age.
