I think a web site that streams Henson programs would be a good alternative to the TV Channel. More people watch show online now than ever. This would also allow people to choose which episodes to watch and pause them if they go off line.
I think there would be enough Henson material to make a 24/7 channel. I would also add the old muppet ad commercials as part of their commercial breaks! It would keep people glued to the TV!
I've always admired "When the River Meets the Sea" from Emmitt Otter's Juggband Christmas!
I also like "Need a little Christmas" from the Muppet Family Christmas!

I've always been a fan of SS. However, I do think the earlier seasons are much more interesting than the more recent ones. For some reason, I just can't enjoy watching the Elmo segment on SS. My son loves Elmo, so we watch his repeatedly. I much prefer cookie monster, Bert and Ernie, Oscar and...
I'm not a fan of Elmo. That song just gets on my nerves. I much prefer Bert, Ernie, and cookie monster. My toddler loves Elmo and we are forced to watch for hours on end. But I've been working Old School SS into his DVD collection and we have fun watching them together. We also watch TMS and...
I'd like to see some sort of Henson channel or Henson Block on some major network. I think there is a market out there for the Muppets. Until then, I'll keep buying and watching Muppet and Sesame Street DVD's. Maybe if the networks see how much money people spend on the DVD's, they will be...
A Super Grover movie would be a great idea! Especially now that comic book heroes have dominated main stream movie production. Super Grover could help save SS from an evil contractor that plans to buy all the properity and building a strip Mall.
I agree that TV is not a substitute for parenting. I only allow my son to watch a small selection of tv shows. Mostly, he watches SS and other Muppet DVD's.
I think there is still a Hallmark Channel but I don't think I've ever seen Muppets on the channel. all it plays is reruns of MASH, Murder She Wrote, and etc.
I have DirecTV and there are so many different types of channels. I wish they could make this channel.
I know this is old news but please fill me in. What exactly were the complaints with Old School? Just curious!
I have volume 1 and I think it's great. My son and I watch it all the time. I plan on getting Volume 2 this fall.
Would it be possible to create a Henson Channel? Would Disney consider creating this channel in conjuction to it's other channels as an option? I realize there are many different copyright issues and ownerships and stuff, but could it be done?

A SS channel would be awsome! My wife and I only allow our son to watch SS and Muppet shows/movies. I don't think I could stand Barney or Dora the Explora. There are so many seasons of Sesame Street that they could have a never ending line up of shows all day long. In mean, if other stations can...
