I've seen heat shrink tubing at Fry's Electronics... they generally come in 3-foot lengths and in different colors. Don't remember what the prices were like for them though.
This isn't meant to come off as snyde but how about just buying a spiked collar? Boston has to have some kind of a punk scene and if push comes to shove you could always go to Hot Topic to pick something like that up -- even if they don't have the collars themselves they'll have the spikes (at...
Okay so I'm thinking I can't be the only one on here who's using Firefox on OSX to look at this site. Recently I got a new Mac Mini (OSX 10.4.7) to replace my dead desktop computer. I've been a fan of Firefox for as long as I've known about it so it was a no brainer to install it on that...
I didn't mean put it on YouTube just for him... If you're going to do something worth showing to someone for a job, you should make it accessible to more than just him because you just don't know who else might stumble across it. I know so many "aspiring" film makers that have short films that...
Muppet Colors
So I just got my fleece from G.Stage and have been contemplating what colors to dye them. I did find a list of popular dye recipes over at ritdye.com (http://ritdye.com/color_recipes.asp) ... anybody else have some cool color recipes they'd be into sharing?
Oh... and while I'm...
Ah, see I didn't know that he recruited for Sesame Street. In that case let me send you my demo to give to him too ... seriously though, I think that if you video taped a couple skits of your own, maybe had a friend (or even yourself if you're good at it) edit the footage to polish it up a...
Okay, so there's a couple puppets that I've got ideas for that I've got that would require shapes that I wouldn't know how to draft into patterns. I do remember my mother having a Tailor's dummy she used to make patterns for clothes she designed so in that same vein I've come up with a way that...
Well I suppose that would depend on why you're doing it. If I remember correctly he's the guy that operates Elmo on SS. From the tone of what you wrote it would seem that you're looking to get a job as a puppeteer from him... personally I think that approach most likely won't get you far...
I suspected Velcro but didn't remember seeing that tell-tale "patch" one would expect if that were the case. Never thought of the others, probably because in my head they'd be too unreliable during a performance.
So from what I can remember Bert on SS was the only muppet that regularly had any of his body parts (in his case his nose) removed during a skit. I do vaguely remember eyes and nose coming off other muppets in the midst of a skit, though I don't remember any sort of "attaching device" visible on...
I've actually caught myself doing this sans-puppet, basically just practicing the gestures to whatever song (that I'm usually singing along to) is on the radio. Never really thought about what the other drivers were thinking when they see me doing this until now. Must look like a loon.
Called 3 Michale's 2 JoAnn's and a partridge in a pear tree and still no luck with the doll-joints... I did get referred to 2 doll places so hopefully one of those will pan out.
