I love different-sized pupils in a puppet. Gives them a good energy. Curious about the puppet that currently looks more like a claw in the third and fourth picture. Great mouth range on it and I love the lip shape you got out of it.

I'd try the glue on some discarded felt and marker that before trying it on the real puppet, but I've Sharpied over a different type of glue a number of times on my puppets and it has worked like a charm. I find it's better to fix it even if no one will ever see just because *I* know it's there...

I'm the reverse on the Jim Henson Hour. I loved the Storyteller bits but found the overuse of tech and green screen and computers kinda killed the joy in the Muppet parts of it. Instead of getting good story and compelling character relationships, we got flashy bits and a CGI puppet who didn't...

Fantastic book. I wasn't really aware of how distracted Jim was by technology. I kind of wish that drive had been a little less powerful since I think it worked against him a bit too much, leading to some of Jason Segel's complaints of even the Muppets getting gimmicky.

I've got two in the works based on that round-headed puppet pattern from your website, but I found a slight variation that showed the mouthplate, which helped. I've only been doing this two months, so I like having things spelled out for me. :)

I also had success with patterns from James Kemp. Here's one I built from his Oblong pattern -- he emailed the pattern to me.

I've been enjoying the News Round-Ups! I've only been making puppets for two months, but it's nice to see another Torontonian really going for it.
