I heard this song when it first came out, but I just found out through Muppet Wiki that "Can You Feel Me" by Childish Gambino (featuring his son) samples the "African Alphabet" song from Sesame Street. Pretty crazy to see Joe Raposo receive a writing credit on a song 35 years after his passing.

So what exactly is stopping a lot of these episodes from being released? I'd assume it has something to do with music rights or footage being lost. But something like season 26 only has 1 available episode on Tubi, even though earlier seasons have more.

Yeah, that's an excellent find. When this thread started, I was surprised they had inserts with his voice in rotation in 1990, I had no clue they were still airing them in 2001. Of course, by that point, the viewers watching would have no clue who David was.

Using IMDB and Muppet Wiki, I believe I found the final time an insert featuring David was used. Episode 3701 from season 29 features him singing "I'm Pretty". This was in 1998, over eight years after his passing. Surprised they still used his material almost a decade after he left the show.

I stumbled upon this after watching the documentary. This is some incredibly rare footage, clearly not meant to be distributed to a public audience. But now I wonder if any others might surface.
