Thanks Chris! I came across that page in my quick search but flipped off it pretty fast and assumed it wasn't related since there was no mention of jackets. But I didn't think of a crew thing. That makes perfect sense because now I see the pic of Kermit is the same! Thanks!
As an early birthday gift, my friend located a lovely muppet jacket at a second hand store. It is the same as the one pictured in this closed eBay auction: http://m.ebay.com/itm?itemId=290930212995 I'm too lazy to take/post my own pics but I have the exact same one.
It is a...
Yay! Indoctrinate your children! We need more younguns to join the penguin parade of Muppet fans. :zany:
It was a green pig and a pink frog, but yeah, the gender was hard to tell. I think the pig was a female because it had Miss Piggy eyelashes.
Saw it again! Here's a few things I noticed that I missed the first time - let me know if you saw these too!
When Domenic is explaining to the Muppets that Walter left, you hear someone (I think it's Lew Zealand) say, "You can leave the Muppets?!"
When the Muppet Newsman is talking about...
I think the filmmakers/performers put in the cameos as a way of acknowledging to the audience that they can't use all the characters. The Muppets literally have a 50-year history; there's no way to get everyone's favourite character in there, and since not everyone is familiar with all their...
The more I think about it, the more this movie seems very reminiscient of old TMS. I don't mean overt references like the Ballroom Dance scene, though it was cool to see those as well. I'm talking more about tone.
For example... Ty Burrell's very strange and over the top Interpol agent reminds...
That's a pretty accurate one-line summary of both films. It's nice that there's room for both in the Muppet universe. It makes me wonder which one will be more rewatchable in the long run... will all the feels in the Muppets be seen as corny or over-the-top, or will all the slapstick in MMW be...
Oh, also... I love Love LOVE that Kermit and Piggy's babies were a pink frog and a green pig. I know that we've (sadly) had full conversations here in the past about what their bouncing baby figs would look like and I'm not sure that's come up before. Love it!
Just got back. I really liked it!
Loved the songs, especially the one with the interpol agent and Sam interviewing everyone, thought the way the scene played out in rhythm to the music was very clever. Way too much I liked to mention it all. I liked Bunsen's one-line shoutout to all the other...
A very cool piece of lost movie history was just found - a laserdisc featuring 30 mintues of unused footage and alternate takes from Return of the Jedi. Frank Oz and Yoda are on here of course!
I watched a short clip of Frank receiving his lines and then acting them out... it's really neat to...
