just throwing this out to see if anyone remembers this or has this on tape.
This is one of the skits about the Two Headed Monster, or Frank and Stein as they were sometimes called. They were sitting behind a brick wall and in front of a blue purple backdrop.
They put a word together...
Is this the skit with the big upside down foot coming out of the box. The game show involves contestants asking questions like, "are you used for smelling?" "No, that would be a nose and I am not a nose." "Are you used for seeing?" and so on. Is this what you are talking about? Because if...
On another website, saw blurry screen caps of a scene in which the Count von Count has a dialogue or a song during which he counts Maria's toes. She removes one shoe first, then the other and he counts them.
1) Song or no song?
2) What year?
3) Does anyone have a clip of this or know...
I always liked the Two-Headed Monster, but I don't recall the P and R skit. I think the best one they ever did was F for Feet. Anybody remember that one? Also the one where one tries to sleep and the other plays trumpet.
Just trying to get a hold of those Two-Headed Monster sketches. Particularly the spelling ones that aired between 1982 and 1986. If you have any information on those scenes, please let me know.
Could you describe the Two-Headed Monster sketches on that episode? More importantly, is it one of those funny sketches where they spelled out a word and demonstrated its meaning? Those were a hoot.
Yeah, those were always my favorite skits they performed, but I can't remember that many of the words, much less what they did to demonstrate it. How did they visually demonstrate things like cheese, spin, mom, feet, etc?
Plus, thanks for reminding me how the sleep or trumpet skit ended...
I haven't the remotest idea which one is which. Still, I remember only fragmented memories of those skits.
1) There was one in which Frank had to sleep and Stein wanted to play a trumpet. Don't remember how it ended but there was a punchline.
2) Another involved them driving a car.
3)...
Without a doubt, my single most favorite muppet was the Two-Headed Monster, Frank and Stein, voiced by Jerry Nelson and Richard Hunt. That phonics loving rascal not only entertained me but taught me a lot of words. Then again, I never was very good at spelling. But they/he was funny and made...
Without a doubt, the best monster for kids to learn how to read and write is the phonics-loving Two Headed Monster. I think I once remembered his name being said as Frank and Stein.
From my childhood, I can remember hundreds of segments involving the Two Headed Monster learning a new word...
