I've love the muppets for as long as I can remember. Apparently I didn't much care for Sesame street as a child, but later I grew an appreciation for them. The Muppets is one of my all time favourite shows. I think Jim Henson was a genius and all the puppeteers who work in the company are brilliant. I recently reaquainted myself with the sesame street characters as I have a young boy now. He just loves Elmo, and all the other muppet characters.
I've been into replica costuming for quite a while (mostly batman), and am currently on my fourth batman costume replica. I decided to try my hand at puppet building, and just recently built a kermit replica. He wasn't an exact replica, but close enough for a first attempt. I'll keep my first kermit as he is my first, but I'd like to try to make another kermit, to refine some of the issues with the first version. I've also got a friend who's son loves Kermit, so I may end up giving the second one up to him.
I'd like to develop my skills with Kermit making, so that I can create my own muppet style puppets to play with my son. He just loves puppets so much. On the cards is definitely an elmo puppet too, once I get a sense of what I'm doing.
