I think the most annoying 'misnaming' is somebody not even knowing who Kermit the Frog is.

Not quite. I meant that it's rather annoying when somebody doesn't know who Kermit is at all. Yeah, it's not 'misnaming', but it's pretty close.

It's from a TV special "The Muppets go to the Movies", and yes, it was intentionally mispelled as a joke, and the two P's were added back in after a commercial break.
