My favorite moments in the prequels are when Sir Christopher Lee is on the screen. Therefore, I don't think I shall be seeing Episode 1 (which he's not in) in the theaters this February when it's re-released in 3-D. (By the way, I wonder why there's no promotion on TV for this?)
Oh yeah I forgot Christopher Lee! OK, he's the other best thing about those cinematic mistakes, lol. Even though he's basically playing Saruman in space, hehe...Seriously, same exact purpose in the story, lol.

There's a general rule of thumb for me regarding things like this. If the heroes are human and the villains are non human ( monsters, robots, etc. ) I usually prefer the villains. If Both sides are non human I usually go for the heroes ( I prefer the Autobots to the Decepticons ).
Ever since I can remember I have always had difficulty identifying with my own kind so I usually tend to latch onto characters who are animals, robots or monsters. But they have to be noticeably inhuman. Mostly human looking creatures like elves or fairies don't get my sympathy any more than humans do.

I almost always go for the villains to win. Off the top of my head, though, The villains I did not want to win would be Gideon from Scott Pilgrim (the book, he was somewhat likable in the movie), and Vector in Despicable Me.

Lost is, without a doubt, my favorite show of all time. I've only watched it once all the way through, and that was when it was still airing on TV. It ate up my life for a good six years, and not a day goes by where I don't miss it. I do own the DVD boxset, so I'm thinking this summer I should marathon my way through it.

But yeah! The season 4 finale is intense!!!
Me too! I didn't exactly watch it from the beginning but now I own every season, (I'm only up to season 5 so don't spoil it for me!)

I'll half agree. I don't like him when he's the Emperor in the original Star Wars. But I did like him in the prequels as Palpatine, probably because he was the best thing in those cinematic mistakes, hehe.
Well the only one we see him as a villian is in The Revenge of The Sith.

But can anyone make an honest argument as to why Palpatine is actually likeable? I don't expect one can. He seems impossible to like - he's just too evil.
I love to hate him, LOL. I actually do prefer him over Darth NOOOOOOOO Vader (I know, blasphemy!) simply because I prefer characters who like what they are. Vader's power comes through his conflict about his Freudian issues, while Palpatine's your classic sociopath who thoroughly enjoys being evil. With all the hypocrisy I've experienced in life, it's refreshing to see someone who just revels in being oneself.

Well it's mainly all the classic intrigue; how he acts all altruistic but you can see his true intentions underneath and how he's enjoying it all.
