I've been thinking over the last few days that it's been quite a long time since we've gotten to see each other in person. Granted, we really only get to see each other at assorted Henson Legacy events but there hasn't been anything big along those lines since the William Patterson U. event two years ago. This got me thinking, I've been kicking around the idea of perhaps trying to put together a Muppet Central reunion of-sorts. I know Tough Pigs does picnics every now and then, and I was thinking we could do something like that. And it wouldn't be open to just MC members, any Muppet fans who troll the internet from any websites is welcome! Let me know if anyone would be up for doing this, I'd probably organize to be in a park in my town (Irvington, NY). So with that in mind, let me know if anybody would be interested wanting to see this happen.

Good luck organizing something. Since you live in New York, you have a better chance than most of being able to arrange something with some kind of turnout.

In today's economy (and gas prices!) , even if there was another MuppetFest or official fan gathering, i wonder how many people would have means or opportunity to go to it? I sure as heck wouldn't despite the burning desire. But at least a place like New York is better for a larger number of people being already in or near the area as opposed to say Phoenix Arizona.

Hmm...ya know, I'm about two hours south of you, dwmckim, and I'm not sure I'D go to PHX...

A get-together DOES sound fun, though! I'd like to meet a few of you. (Wonder if I could rustle up a tacky plaid jacket by then...? I've got the hair and glasses already...)

A get-together sounds fun but it would depend on where it takes place and for how long as to whether or not I could come to it. I think it would be so cool to network with you guys in person.

Maybe you don't. Maybe everyone else does instead.

Perhaps we could look at events that people are likely to go to and piggyback on them. For instance, my con of the year is Dragon*Con, the southeast's biggest fandom convention. Many thousands of geekanerds will be there. If some of us will be there, we could set up a time to meet during the con.

Is anyone going to D23? I'm not, but you guys could always do a meet-up at whatever Muppet events they have.
