Ah yes the good old days when adults willingly dressed up in embarrassingly silly costumes just to entertain the kids, hehe. You almost never see that now, it's almost all CGI, pft! ; )

I do think these Anti-Drug PSA commercial puppets qualify as creepy (especially the drug dealer at the end of the first one ::shivers:: )

Luke, you're going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view.

For many Christians it is not considered an oxymoron. I went to a Christian school all my life and we were taught both religion and evolution. But on the other hand yes, it could be interpreted as an opposite yet similar oxymoron to Inherit the Wind. That's an interesting observation. : )

I absolutely agree about the puppetry on HR Pufnstuff.

Although I have a very open mind when I comes to the different mediums used in all variations of puppetry, I do find that the afore mentioned clearly proves that lack of skill and low budget were an issue when making and using these puppets. I would very much like to see, if the case were to ever happen, that these shows were brought up to modern-age, how much they would improve. One can only dream of such an occurrence.:smirk:

Oh yeah definitely can't have a discussion about weird puppetry without mentioning these two, lol.

I know what you mean, clearly they had to work with low budgets and all. Still I admire their motivation despite the challenges and find their low budget-ness rather quirky and charming, hehe.

I'm still stuck on the old PSA commercials for some reason, any thoughts on these guys?
