I'm very sorry to hear about this Ru. Though I'm also pleased that things weren't really as bad as they could have been.

I'll pray for your daughter's face and I also pray that the driver who caused the accident has learned his lesson.

You will be in my prayers Ru. And glad to know you both are ok.

yikes! i'm so sorry to hear about this! i hope you and your daughter have a speedy recovery and no lasting problems from this. I remember the accident I was in a year and a half ago, and it was just so terrifying. worst part was that I didn't really know how badly it upset me, or i was really injured until later after I'd had time for the shock of it all to wear off.
*hugs from one who has been there* speedy recovery thoughts and prayers coming your way

Wow, I'm so happy all is well, Ru; but you'll definitely be in my prayers.

Yeah, I've been there too. Drunk driver on the wrong side of the road. Driving a vehicle like five times the size of ours. Nearly flipped us completely over (went into the air). Car was completely totaled. Had to go to the hospital and walk four miles home in the dark...
Gee, that doesn't sound pleasant at all. I would hate for that to happen.:sympathy:

for me it was a very large, loaded delivery truck going too fast behind me. I stopped for the light, he couldn't and just crushed my station wagon. bounced me right into the intersection. took most of a year at the chiroprator's to get things more or less back where they should be.
also, watch out for their insurance company.. the whole time i was in recovery and medical bills piling up, they kept trying to convince me to drop my claim.. as was, i settled for less then i probablly should have, but i just got sick of dealing with them and had too many other things going on getting ready for my husband's deployment. keep an eye on them and keep track of every expense related to your treatment. car rentals, cab or bus fare, compensation for missed work, extra baby sitting fees if your daughter has to miss school or something..

Thanks guys--we are doing much better. At her age, skin regrows very fast so we are amazed at how fast things are healing. Her lips looks very nice (two bad cuts there) and we are watching the one on her cheek. Yesterday she returned to school with her stiches and a new bracelet (her hospital id) to show off. Please continue to pray about her healing seamlessly. I want this experience to fade away with no daily reminder to make her remember it.

Aunt Ru... You're always thought of around here, especially how much we miss you. Hope your daughter continues to heal as the normal routine takes over with no bad reminders of this accident. *Hugs.
*Leaves Fozzie teddy bear for Ru's girl. : :sympathy:
