Just a reminder that Sesame Street's 39th season officially begins Monday on PBS stations across the country. Check your local channels for times in your area.

After you see the new episodes, post here and let us know what you think. When you're the first to post about a new episode please include a description of the street scene or an episode number so that we know which episode you are talking about. Twenty-six new episodes are planned for this season.

Here's a preview of Sesame Season 39:

I really enjoyed the indiana jones parody especially the boulder. Why did it have to be snakes?

I like the animated E&B; not that I don't love the puppets, but the animation is amzaing!
I mean, reading The Count's episode description, they still appeared as puppets in the new elmo's World.

Well, I tried to tape the episode on our busted TV and it worked, but there was no sound. From what I saw, basically, everything in it was new except for the L limerick and the traffic film. I'll just have to wait for the 12 airing to see it with sound.

I thought the animated Bert and Ernie segment was adorable. And clay animation, though not traditional Muppets, is still a fine example of puppetry.

Nice season premire. Like last year, not many characters appeared. I really liked Murray though, and it's nice to see him in street stories instead of just the Word on The Street segments. And OMG! Gordon did the traditional show sponsors! NO Trash Gordon! Yes!

The characters who appeared today were Murrary, Telly, Elmo, Zoe, Rosita, Oscar, Baby Bear, and Ernie and Bert. No Cookie, Grover, Big Bird, or Count. Oh well.

And, it's not that I don't like them or anything, but I hope the Adventures of E&B and Murray Had A Little Lamb become just "sometimes" segments. That way maybe there can be room open for a street insert or muppet parody or something.

Did anyone notice the new Sesame Workshop logo at the end? It really had me going for 2 seconds, and then....BAM! Elmo's on top of the logo. Lol.

But anyways, well done SW. I look forward to Season 39!:excited:
And I know I'm jumping ahead here, but Season 40 will be here soon!

I hated it. I really did. This season is gonna suck, I can see it now. I don't think I'll ever watch a new episode again. I don't know why they have to make all these changes. I actually was quite impressed with the selection of classic inserts last season, and the season before. But now, with going HD and all, this proves that they're really not going to use very many classic inserts. The oldest insert shown on today's episode was from 1995. Goodbye current Sesame Street!
