Lol, that's cute. I wish they'd kept that king character instead of the current one, heh.

I didn't think it was possible... but the King Mech Robot is even CrEePiEr than the original.

But this guy has a lot of great old commercials:

And a weird little Spiderman PSA: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKTPDTpDbMU

But let's not forget the old Hare Jordan commercials that launched the movie Space jam years later. Frankly, the ads were better paced.

Lol that Spiderman one, I kept trying to figure out what the heck the message was throughout the whole thing! Don't play with giant dinosaurs? Don't keep animals in cages, even if they terrorize a city? Don't accept a reward for doing a good deed? And it's like...EAT HEALTHY? !...THAT'S ALL? ! Lol

It's really interesting; I've recently been trying to collect old TV specials I remember from my childhood. And it's great to see them all again. But you know, without those old commericals, it really feels like something's missing. The commericals are sort of a snapshot of who we were at the time, and they made the experience more organic and real.

I was at The Paley Center for Media (formerly The Museum of TV and Radio) recently and I chose to watch the 1st broadcast of the Beatles Anthology back in 1995. The employees warned me that it came with the original commercials but that I could always fast forward through them. And I was like "No way, I want to see them just as much as the show itself!"

Hmmmm, well that FedEx commercial with John Moschitta, I wasn't born yet when that commercial was around, and I think it's an awesome commercial. Maybe if my birthday was 1971 or something, and I'd seen it then, I would've been annoyed, but I don't know. Some commercials are actually worth seeing, like that Starbucks Espresso commercial that had Survivor in it singing parody lyrics to their own hit "Eye Of The Tiger".

Funny thing is that we always had these healthy food and healthy life style PSA's, and they seemed to play allong the junk food ads with no problem at all. Due to all this obesity hysteria, they have to eliminate the junk food commercials. And while I can go on about how that brought the downfall of children's television on broadcast networks, but the sad thing is, most of them were entertaining.

there is still some junk food commercials. I still can't figure out why Kellogg's is still getting away with Pop Tart ads (by that logic). But these commercials are terrible. The Airheads ones are just horrendous- especially the one that's tantamount to an MTV's Jack^% stunt video.

But all and all, I miss stuff like this-

I remember Ninja turtle pies!

Yeah, it seems like there is a lack of even giving kids the chance to choose , and learn to make the right decision. We live in a it's wrong to make mistakes society these days. It's like we undermine kinds as if they are not smart enough or capable of making good judgment and good decitions. It's about balance and not just eating one kind of things or another. After all they say too much of a "good" things is a bad thing, right?

It's not enough to just take away bad snacks. What's next? are they going to make then illegal or something?
