Someone said earleir that it wouldn't be till 2012. I thought we were talking a 2010 release date. Can anybody clear this up?

Given the intensity for which Segal and Stoller have for this, my strong guess is 2010, *NOT* 2012 at all.

(I'm hoping the Fraggle Rock movie will be out by 2010 as well)

That would be great if they came out as a powerhouse together.

Rumor, what rumor?

What's this about 2012?

I doubt any such non-animated film would be announced by Disney with such a late release date. That's four years away. Disney would sooner shelve the project than tag that late a launch. My guess is that they'll be shooting it about a year from now and it will be out in spring 2010 or fall 2010 by the latest.

I definently excited for this movie! My sister read about it somewhere and won't stop bugging me about it.

Um...

Did anyone check out the IMDB profiles of these two? This is who Disney tapped?

Im just saying...what happened to the script Brian Henson and Bill Baretta were writing? If anyone knows the Muppets more.

Heck, whose writing the Muppets.com scripts/ideas?

I could see this team writing a romantic comedy script starring say, Pepe and a human actress; or a pg-13 film about a group of Muppets living in a college dorm.

But a main Muppets film?

Jason Segel: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0781981/
Nick Stoller: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0831557/

These are no doubt two great guys, but is this the perfect duo for the next Muppets feature film? Do they know the chemistry and subtle nuances?

I wish it coulda been Brian Henson/Baretta's script with say, Spike Jonze or Michel Gondry directing.
He can't do any worse than It's a Very Merry Muppet christmas Movie :coy:

I like VMMCM. It was ten times better than Oz or Swamp Years
