Sure hope Kathy decides to go bowling to lift her spirits even higher. Just don't let her trounce you as badly as that guy on the sports show Ed watches weekday mornings.

Methinks you've been talking secretly to my mother or sister! Sis was after me to go bowling but I wasn't feline up to it. Two of my friends are on cruises this week. (lucky them...I need to wait til August!) Anyway....I think one might be back by Thursday.I'll see if she'll be bowling on Saturday.

The Newsman enters, dissheveled. His coat is torn, his glasses are broken and hanging on one of his ears, and he sports a black eye.

Tony: So how'd it go? You have a good time? (takes in the Newsman's appearance) Oooh, you sly dog! (playfully punches him on the arm) Do tell!

Newsman (dazed) I...I...the...who...who ordered the veal cutlet?

Tony: I take it things went well.

Newsman: My...watch...my watch...it...

Tony looks at the Newsman's watch.

Tony: This watch says 8:15 a.m.

Newsman: Yeah...

Tony: It stopped at 8:15 a.m.

Newsman: I didn't realize...I thought it was P.M.!

Tony: So, I take it--

Newsman: I've done broadcasts that were safer than the way she handled me tonight! She tossed me around like I was a rag doll...a puppet!

Tony: Whoa!

Newsman: And she said she never wanted to see me again!

Tony: Geez. I'm sorry.

Newsman: I just wanna go to bed!

(falls facedown on his bed)

Tony: By the way...Alex was wondering if you're related to Ron Burgundy, by any chance. You know, Ron Burgundy? Famous anchorman?

Newsman mumbles into his pillow.

Tony: What's that? Didn't quite catch it...

Newsman mumbles.

Tony: He's your uncle's brother's wife's aunt's grandfather's nephew's hamster's gerbil's newt's second cousin, twice removed? Awesome!

Hey Alex! This guy is related to Ron Burgundy, after all!

Tony is on phone.

Tony: Hey, Prairie...Lefty? Yeah, he's here, hang on. (goes to Lefty on hammock) It's for you. It's a girl...(hands Lefty the phone, and winks)

(Leaves flowers, chocolates, and cards to Alex)

Claudia:
(Leaves a huge plush teddy bear)

Bunsen:
(Leaves a flammable device....in which he takes back again for her own safety)

Claudia:
Good job, guys.
Let's go back.

Bunsen:
Agreed.

Hey Alex, I never thought of that, but ya know what? Who knows? The Newsman could very well be related to Ron Burgundy! I'll have to ask him when he gets back...if he gets back...

Oh, and, er...why is Sweetums singing "Afternoon Delight"?

Alex: *laughing as she opens the trap door* Sweetums heard me mention Ron Burgundy as he was walking in. I told him the other day that the only part of Anchorman I've ever seen was where Ron Burgundy sings that song (my brother used to watch it over and over). Oh! I have something for Lefty. *passes down a teddy bear holding a letter "O"*

Bean: *taps Alex on the shoulder and hands her something*

Alex: And this one's for Newsie.... *hands down a copy of the film "The Maltese Falcon"* I hope you boys feel a little better in the morning. And last but not least...... *gives Tony a shirt which reads: "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players."
