As fans of Disney Animation knows that they've recently released a new animated series show about a girl lost in a world frogs called "Amphibia." You wonder what this has to do with Muppets: Well we know a certain Muppet frog  and it seems that this years D23 expo will have Kermit in a Q and A session with the cast of "Amphibia" and "Big City Greens." As fans of Kermit and animation: What do you think of this?

Kermit will appear with the casts of Amphibia and Big City Greens...well that's unusual, but considering Fozzie is somehow a voice actor now, anything is possible.

Cool,

But why? I saw the title and was hoping it had something to do with Disney Plus or some sort of project.

But obviously not

It appears that there’s going to be even more of these kinds of collaborations between the Muppets and Disney Television Animation in the very near future.

I also now wonder if The Muppets Studio has changed hands, moving from Disney Consumer Products to Disney Television Animation, where they’ll hopefully be able to get more things done than they did under Consumer Products. And with TV Animation’s current increase in creator-driven cartoons, we may be even more likely to get more performer-driven Muppet projects in the near future as well.

Those Muppets/Disney TV Animation collaborations are also being done to help make the Muppets popular and relevant again before the new Muppet content planned for Disney+ comes out.

In lieu of that, here’s a recent podcast interview with Matt Danner who says that the Muppet Babies reboot was created as a way to get kids more excited about new Muppet projects:

Here's the whole panel with Kermit. I have to wonder, how in the world is Matt able to keep his arm in the air for that long?
