They seemed to do that on occasion back then. I know there's at least two versions of Lefty selling the 'U,' because the brief clip used in the A&E special is not the same as the version SW uploaded on YouTube.

This video of commercials from 1987 includes a commercial for Sesame Street Live: Big Bird and the ABCs at the 3:44 mark.

So how do people acquire those very high-quality Season 1 eps on YouTube?

I'm not sure if these were put on here or not, because I'm too lazy to read all 110 pages of this thread, so here we go.
My good (internet) friend, BigDexterMan86, who posted some of the mentioned clips above/before (J Friends Take 1, Elmo's Debut) posted these.

The first ''Rubber Duckie'' version (1970)

Monsters see a C (1969)

Ernie goes rock hunting (1969)

Monsters look at A (1969)

And last for now..

You mean just re-posts other people's videos. I don't like channels that do that.

Yes, he does repost, but that's not it. Most videos he restored completely or redubbed. Reposting can be bad, but some videos he gives his sources and credit to where he got it from. We all have opinions, though.

Besides, how would it be any different if we watched it from another channel?
