Rainbow Connection Sheet Music (1979)

Published 1979 by Welbeck Music Corp. Lyrics and Music by Paul Williams and Kenny Ascher.

This sheet music features the most famous Henson song of all time, the Rainbow Connection. The picture on the front is also the same as the picture from the Muppet Movie album.

Other variants of this cover featured the entire Muppet gang and also a color photo of Kermit in the swamp.

Published 1979 by Welbek Music Corp. By Jerry Houle. Lyrics and Music by Paul Williams and Kenny Ascher. 64 pages.

This great song book features nine songs from "The Muppet Movie" along with many beautiful photos, including some scenes edited from the film, like Statler & Waldorf on a camel and a Sam Eagle sign. Both of these segments were originally part of "Movin' Right Along".

The picture on the front is also the same as the picture from the Muppet Movie album.

The Great Muppet Caper Song Book (1981)

Published 1981 by Cherry Lane/ATV Music Publications. Edited by Milton Okun. Lyrics and music by Joe Raposo. 60 pages.

The Caper song book includes four pages of color photos from the movie and some posed promo shots. A section in the middle features the lyrics to the primary songs surrounded by illustrated versions of the characters. Many of the illustrations are black and white cartoon drawings of the main Muppet characters, with smaller drawings of the rats popping up in various places.

This is the only song book for many of these titles, especially the instrumental pieces from the film.

This songbook includes color promo photos from the movie. All of the photos are posed versions of movie scenes created for advertising purposes, rather than actual movie stills. There are also several black and white cartoon drawings, including one of the Cratchit family and one of Gonzo as Charles Dickens.

Music for several cut songs from the film are included in this songbook. "Room in Your Heart" and "Chairman of the Board" were not used in the final film.
