Muppet Poster Art (1976)

This set from Avalon included three posters that you could color with the markers provided.

The posters depict early illustrations of the Muppets with scenes centered around the first season of the Muppet Show.

Muppet Prestofix Kit (1977)

Tarrson produced a create your own Muppet Prestofix mosaic tile activity set. These sets came with a pattern book in which you could arrange over 800 colored tiles to create various Muppet portraits.

The kits came in two different series, #1501 and #1601. Each series came with a different set of tiles to create different Muppets. Many of the patterns included rarely seen Muppets such as Dr. Teeth, Floyd, the Newsman, and Hilda.

Smaller, individual Prestofix kits were also sold each featuring a particular character.

Muppet Figurines (1978)

Avalon Industries released a set of six blank plastic figurines, with paints and a paintbrush to decorate the figures.

The set includes: Animal with drum, Fozzie, Kermit on a stump, Dr. Teeth sitting on a box, Miss Piggy with hands crossed, and Scooter. It also came with a little red theater as pictured to put your painted figures onstage.

Piggy Paint-a-Cloth Doll (1978)

Avalon released this 12 inch Miss Piggy doll that you could paint.

The set came complete with paints and brush.

Color ‘n Recolor Game Cloth (1978)

Avalon released this unique game featuring The Muppet Show that allows you to color the cloth and then wipe it off and color it again. Instructions and game rules are included along with colors and an eraser. It's a great item that portrays a lot of the lesser seen characters.

Paint-By-Number Kit (1977)

Avalon released a series of "The Muppet Show" acrylic paint-by-number sets.

Muppet Latch Hook Kits (1979)

This is a nice series of multiple latch hook rugs and pillows including ones with Kermit, Piggy, Fozzie, Scooter the Swedish Chef, and possibly others.

Several of these kits had slight variations. For example, there is a Fozzie kit identical to the picture above except Fozzie is holding a red flag instead of playing the guitar. The blue circle and light background are the same.

Muppet Christmas Latch Hook Kits (1980)

Caron also released some Christmas kits for the 1980 season. There are possibly others not listed here.

Shrinky Dinks Play Set (1981)

Muppets Shrinky Dinks Play Set

Colorforms released this Jim Henson's Muppets Shrinky Dinks Play Set. These Shrinky dinks are in full color. You can cut them out and bake them until they are 1/3 of their original size. In the process, they become nine times thicker.

The set comes with an incredible range of 36 Muppet characters to cut and shrink. There are 36 bases to mount your Shrinky dinks on as well. The set also includes a snap together Muppet theater and instructions.

Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog Shrinky Dinks

These Colorforms allow you to create your own Miss Piggy and Kermit collectibles. You can color the plastic, cut, and bake. They cook for four minutes in the oven, shirnk, and they're done. A variety of Kermit and Piggy pieces can be made including many character poses and little signs.

Paint-By-Number Kit (1981)

This "Great Muppet Caper" series of paint-by-number kits by Avalon included one 9 by 12 inche paint-by-number panel, 12 acrylic paints, and one brush. This kit was easy and fun for ages eight though adult.

Three different "Great Muppet Caper" panels were available.

The Muppet Show Color'n Play Book (1981)

This set by Binney & Smith is great because it's every fan's dream to color and play with all your favorite Muppet Show characters as you can reenact your favorite backstage moments, Pigs in Space, Veterinarian's Hospital and more.

The kit includes: a fold-out activity book, 8 Crayola easy off crayons, standup Muppet characters, and a plastic storage bag.

The Great Muppet Caper Color'n Play Book (1981)

From making the Muppets ride bicycles to all riding in the Happiness Hotel bus, you can relive it all with this fantastic set from Crayola. You can even make all your favorite Muppets pop out of the windows of the Happiness Hotel. Even though Thog wasn't seen in the movie, there's a rare shot of him on the roof of the hotel.

The kit includes: fold-out activity book, 8 Crayola easy-off crayons, standup Muppet characters, and a plastic storage bag.

Knit the Comedy Classics! (Date Unknown)

Woman's Weekly released "Knit the Comedy Classics!" This is a free pattern included in Woman’s Weekly magazine for knitting Kermit or Miss Piggy. Great for sweatshirts or just about anywhere you could think to put a frog and a pig.
