I'm looking for a song I saw in an episode of the Muppet show a while ago, but I don't have a lot of info about either the show or the song.
The performer who who singing the song was a black man and the song was about him working at a banana-farm and wanting to go home. The singer would sing a line and the Muppets would sing a sentence that would repeat over and over. Something like "it's so late and me wanna go home"

If someone could help me to the name of the performer, and perhaps the name of the song as well, I'd be very grateful. I'm not on this forum a lot/ever, so if you could maybe email me at hcjochem@(remove_this_for_spam)hotmail.com, that'd be nice.

The song is called 'Bannana Boat' it was song by Harry Bolefonte' you can get the video from the Time Life video series "The Best of The Muppet Show" also the song is in the movie "Beetlejuice" Hopefully that helps you.
