Sesame Street Season 51 News and Rumors

You'd think they'd be making a bigger deal of it by now considering it's projected to premiere in five days.

Sesame Street Season 50 Episode 5023 - Zoe Breaks Her Arm

I was audibly upset at how the accident unfolded. I liked the monkeys, and then when they threw the banana peels, I'm like "Crap, I have to hate them now." It could've also been further prevented if Alan didn't have to monologue to the viewer about littering. Sheesh.

Sesame Street Season 50 Episode 5002 - The Great Sesame Street Cake Off

A nice change of pace to have the usually hot-headed Gonger be patient with Cookie when he realizes how badly he messed up. Some other cool puppety observations include Gonger diving into the foodie truck (which I laughed at uproariously), and the spilt frosting landing on cue on the counter...

Sesame Street Season 50 Episode 5001 - Big Bird Across America

This may be the most Big Bird-centric episode in a while. It seems like in the past couple seasons he had been mostly used as a supporting character. Here, he might have as much screen time as Elmo. Personally hoping for more of this as the season lingers on, especially with those new road trip...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street YouTube marathon Friday November 15, 2019

All I can say is—cool, I don't have to rewind. The credits sequence of Big Bird playing jumprope with the kids is from Episode 0010.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street YouTube marathon Friday November 15, 2019

Missed the first 40 minutes or so. The guides are a handy thing to post because I'm noticing they're dropping segments here and there, probably to compact episodes to a specific time limit or something. Also, short Farmers Insurance ads are being inserted at the half-hour and hour marks.

Video: "A Swingin’ Sesame Street Celebration" with Wynton Marsalis, Friday October 25 and Saturday October 26, 2019

Okay, with that off me chest, the rest of the show ROCKED!!! Amazing, beautiful arrangements that satisfied the jazz cat in me (and also honestly should justify a cover album of some kind. I mean, a guy can dream, right?). I could guess they consciously chose some songs that were more...

Video: "A Swingin’ Sesame Street Celebration" with Wynton Marsalis, Friday October 25 and Saturday October 26, 2019

Making one of my random walk-on cameo appearances to point out that this backup Oscar with the crooked mouth, introduced in season 46, is now looking more favorable by comparison. Just take comfort in knowing that if the stocky Oscar puppet used in the concerts will be a long-term...

Classic Sesame shows removed from HBO

They weren't replaced at all, although the fan/optimist in me wants to think there could be other plans for release (but maybe not).

Classic Sesame shows removed from HBO

I don't know if anyone else noticed, but I was checking HBO Go and found that five of their "Sesame Street Classics" episodes are no longer listed. I don't see episodes #1576, #3136, #3171, #3502, and #3611 anywhere. I guess they took them off at the beginning of the year, and I'm not sure why...

Sesame Street Muppets answer questions on Wired

Yeah, to be honest, Billy's Ernie has been the hardest to stomach for me, though he has gotten better at it recently. Even if it's not as good as Jim or Steve, I can kind of accept it as it's own thing. I've always thought I could do a pretty good Henson voice, but that's not really the point...

Sesame Street Muppets answer questions on Wired

I love videos that let the Muppets be Muppets and ad-lib up a storm. Not to deviate too, but I can't help but note the comments on this. Half of the people are griping about the voices. It mystifies me that people are suddenly not used to Matt Vogel's Big Bird, despite the fact that he's voiced...

    Furchester Hotel Season 2

To my knowledge, this appears to be the first time two of Matt Vogel's characters have interacted with each other. Weird to hear how different his Big Bird and Count voices are from each other.

Sesame Street Season 47 Episode 4706 - Elmo's Sweet Ride

I'd almost suspect this episode was held over from season 46 or something. I mean, why else would they throw in the Crumby Pictures and Two-Headed Monster skits on top of last year's Letter/Number segments? Also, Jen's Zoe voice sounded rather jarring in this, but she sounds good in the little...

Sesame Street Season 47 Episode 4701 - Be Kind to Your Worm

I know I've been gone for some time, but since my last post was about season 46, I wanted to talk a bit about this season. So far, I think the flow of the format in the first couple episodes is much better; and adding a closing scene, similar to the Halloween episode, helps give them a much more...

Sesame Street Season 46 Episode 4601 - Bedtime Story

Haven't been on here for a while, but I wanted to post a few observations about the newer shows having just watched them. First of all, I got up unusually early and was lucky enough to catch The Muppet Christmas Carol, which, no joke, was airing on HBO-HD preceding the two Sesame shows. And...

Major Changes in store for Sesame Street Season 46

I just hope his departure doesn't have to do with the recent move to HBO or anything of that nature. I'm pretty concerned that so many important people have recently been leaving the show at a point when it's already drastically changing. What's going on?

Joseph Gordon-Levitt Signed On to Star in Fraggle Rock Movie

Hmm, intriguing. He's producing it as well, so I guess that would make him the "Jason Segel" of Fraggledom. Finally this movie can get rolling, and hopefully New Regency won't turn this into another Chipmunks (god forbid).

New Muppets Interstitial Series on Disney Junior 2015

I'm probably thinking too hard on this, but it really kind of aggravates me that a new Muppet series hasn't gotten off the ground in over a decade, and the best that can be done is a series of shorts on a preschool network. It's hard for me to fathom why it's come to this, but if they've done...

    Muppeteer Fran Brill's official retirement

Like I said on another thread, I'd suspect that it may just be for this season (an isolated thing like John T. performing Ernie for one season of PWMS), and considering that nothing official has been said on the level of Fran's retirement, I wouldn't jump the gun and say Steve's retired too...
