i <3 lin-manuel miranda! he's super cute!
besides the homage to hooper, did you notice that all the stickers on big bird's suitcase reference different places he's been in past episodes? like puerto rico and hawaii etc...
i heard that they're putting little classic references/throwbacks in...
amazon.com pick a clip for the 40th dvd
hey folks! don't know if anyone posted this already (my bad if it already as been), but there's a contest on amazon.com to pick a clip that will be included on the 40th anniversary dvd box set...
WELLLLLLL i have to respectfully disagree with you! i definitely miss the sesame street of old that i grew up with.... but i think we all have to remember that the sesame street audience demographic of current times is infant to 2 yrs old-- and audience that is WAY YOUNGER than the 5 yrs olds...
i would say the only hindrance to creating a network special to fundraise for pbs is the actual cost of creating it in the first place! you have to sink in money for a good writer, and then filming for puppets is SO EXPENSIVE because of all the money you have to spend for henson, performers...
no worries!
I LOVED this clip. Ricky and Elmo had such a great rapport! it's my favorite kind of interview, off the cuff, slightly inappropriate.... good times!
B&N tea party tour!
hey guys!
i found out that the barnes and noble in tribeca, nyc is having a promotional abby in wonderland tea party this wednesday! i think abby and elmo are making an appearance and if you're one of the first 50 to buy a dvd, you get a photo-op w/ the puppets! or maybe...
in a perfect world, i would love to see a 40th anniversary special have some more behind the scenes stuff! i mean, when was the last time there was a "secrets of the muppets" special-- the 90's right? it's about time for more!
i think there should be:
1. changes in the set throughout the...
ACTUALLY! one time i seriously saw emilio delgado at columbus circle in nyc. i think he was on his way to see a show at lincoln center (b/c he was in a tux and all gussied up). i was really tempted to go LLLLUUUIIIISSSSSSSSS! but common sense hit me and figured he wouldn't want to be...
DUDE. remember when everyone went to new mexico? and luis was riding horses and stuff?
i think sesame street needs to do more on location shoots like they used to! screw sets! real places!
sorry for the delayed reply folks!
YESSS I DID GO TO THIS!
there was an ernie walkaround, everyone got (well the kids, i just demanded) a little coloring book that coincided with the count on sports dvd---- clearly the day was to promote the count on sports dvd. they played little...
hi everyone! i've been reading all the nifty threads about everyone's favorite animations and muppet bits, but what about all the cool moments that happened on the street?
what are your favorite street story memories? mine are:
* s17 miles gets adopted
* s19 maria and luis gets married
*...
DUDE. that would be the best thing ever.
although realistically i personally feel that disney would never let kermit back on the street.... only because it's mixing up two very distinct brands. and it probably isn't good for "brand integrity." i'm sure some people are still confused about...
things i particularly liked:
* golden triangle of destiny! HAHAHA. i love telly, murray, and virginia virginia. that was hi-larious. i definitely think there's not enough love for telly. that char is so funny and neurotic! i felt bad for chris when telly pretty much manhandled him...
AWESOME-town! the promo makes this video look super cute. chesire cookie cat? HECK YEAH! can't wait for this to come out. totally got to find a kidtoons theater.
pros:
1. muppets come back into the limelight! there hasn't been enough muppets pr IN WAY TOOOO LONG!
2. kermit pretending to be ryan in high school musical. (i confess, i love HSM)
cons:
1. canned laughter. i mean really. a laugh track? and a poorly done laugh track, might i add.
2...
