In the form of a comic strip, "Muppets At Sea" tells the story of the Muppets taking a break from the show on a sea cruise. They end up on a broken down boat which they have to fix up themselves. Things go downhill from there, as the Swedish Chef prepares the meals, Bo weighs the anchor, and Fozzie tells lots of fish jokes. In the early days, the strip was quite well produced, with great art and scripts that were surprisingly faithful to the original show. The strip declined in quality as it went on. This edition is one of the best of the Gilchrist Muppet comic series. The Muppets Take Manhattan Super Special (1984)Marvel Super Special #32, published July 1984. Written by Stan Kay. Art by Dean Yeagle and Jacqueline Roettcher. 64 pages. This is an good comic adaptation of the 1984 feature film. There are some additional lines added to the story but overall it's faithful to the movie. Some of the illustrations are poorly done, but this super special is a nice addition to your collection.
