The Muppet Show Fan Club Button (1978)

The following button produced by Henson Associates was given to original members of "The Muppet Show Fan Club". Included on the button is Kermit, Piggy, Fozzie, and Gonzo. This button is just one of several items that were available with the fan club membership package.

Fan club newsletters were also produced usually four times a year.

Hallmark Photo Buttons (1980)

For several years, Hallmark produced a fantastic series of large Muppet buttons. These buttons measure three and a half inches in diameter. They feature a pin so you can attach them to your clothing and also a little stand on the back so that they can stand up on their own if you so choose. The buttons originally sold for $2 each.

Hallmark Character Buttons (1980)

Hallmark also produced a variety of Muppet character buttons. These are made of heavy plastic and feature a pin on the back.

Art of the Muppets Button (1982)

The following button produced by Henson Associates was given to employees to wear during the exhibit.

It might have been available for purchase at select locations around the country as well.

Muppet Show on Tour Buttons (1984)

Like the Hallmark photo buttons, these large character buttons were released by Henson Associates and available at Muppet Show on Tour". On the right is also a heavy metal pin for the tour as well.

Muppet Vision 3D Pin (1991)

Disney produced this rectangular commemorative pin featuring Kermit and the "Jim Henson's Muppet Vision 3D" logo. It measures 2 ¾ inches by 1¾ inches.

Muppet Vision 3D opened in 1991 at Walt Disney World in Florida.

Kermit Cloisonné Pin (1992)

Museum of Television and Radio

One and a half inch pin with Kermit lying down, "The Museum of Television and Radio" printed underneath.

This pin was created to commemorate the museum's Jim Henson exhibit in 1992. A special book, "Jim Henson's World of Television" was also produced and sold only at the museum.

Muppets Take the Ice Pins (1995)

A series of cloisonné one inch pins were created for the "Muppets Take the Ice" merchandise campaign, with various hockey team logos adapted to include Kermit, Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo and Animal.

Macy's Kermit Pin (1993)

Macy's gave away this Kermit collector pin during the holiday season.

This was the first year the Macy's sold the exclusive Eden Kermit Christmas doll with a plaid vest among other characters from the Eden Muppet line. The pin says, "Have yourself a merry little Kermit at Macy's!"

Gold Kermit Pins (1995)

Starline produced two gold-colored metal Kermit pins. One pictures Kermit with a Santa hat, and the other is Kermit riding his bicycle.

Hopppy Holidays (1995)

Kermit looks very dashing in a plaid vest as he passes on  seasons greetings. Button is 3 and 3/8 inches round with a Jim Henson 1995 trademark.

Rose Parade Grand Marshall Pin (1996)

Kermit the Frog 1996 Rose Parade Grand Marshal cloisonné one inch pin picturing Kermit holding a bouquet of roses, "Kermit the Frog: '96 Rose Parade Grand Marshal."

This was sold exclusively through the Rose Parade merchandise catalog in 1996.

Official 1996 Olympic Snowboard Pins (1996)

To commemorate the 1996 Winter Olympiad in Nagano, Japan, this set of official snowboard pins were produced.

Animal was the official mascot of the US Snowboard Team, the first time a Muppet has been an official mascot for a sporting event. This was also the first year that snowboarding was an official event in the winter Olympics.

Muppets From Space Movie Button (1999)

 

The "Muppets From Space" button has the same picture as the One-Sheet poster.

This button has a UFO in the sky pulling Gonzo off of a roof while Piggy, Fozzie, Animal, and Rizzo look on and Kermit tries to hang on to him. The words "SPACE ... it's not as deep as you think" are written in white on the top. Back of the button has the copyright notice: "1999 Columbia Pictures Industries, Inc.

Muppet Vision 3D Pin (2000)

Disney produced a new pin to commemorate Muppet Vision 3D. The pin features Kermit, Miss Piggy, and Fozzie above the Muppet Vision 3D logo.
