I wasn’t the biggest fan of The Rolling Stones, but I always admired Charlie‘a drumming.
Since 1962, when this jazz drummer decided to join a rock and roll band, Charlie was there for all the hits and every show.
Unlike his bandmates Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Brian Jones, Charlie never got in trouble, never got busted, never went to jail, never got divorced.
When me everyone else in the band went crazy, Charlie just looked bored.
But Charlie can hold down the beat like nobody’s business.
Thank you Charlie for your groove on “Get Off My Cloud”. You ugly mug, you.
