I’ve seen a bunch of rollercoaster elections, where people who were surefire front runners got smoked by the time elections came around.

1992 H. Ross Perot was a Texas billionaire. Even though he had no political experience, he talked common sense which appealed to Americans but fell on politician’s deaf ears. He had momentum going for him, but he dropped out, then rejoined the race which was total suicide.

2012 Mitt Romney had support from both Dems and Reps, until he ran against Obama. Then he became a bigger racist/homophobe/xenophobic/ fill in the blank than Trump.

Now Bloomberg wanting Hillary as his running mate might have sealed his doom. Dems don’t want Hillary anywhere near the White House.
How ironic, in 2016 they buried Bernie to push Hillary. Now they switched.

Yep. The party establishment wants nothing to do with Bernie cause he's not a true Democrat. He's a Socialist running as a Democrat. The big money in the Democratic party doesnt want their money to go away. You see, big money controls Democratic politics just as much as it does Republicans

The best phrase I learned in the past few years was “Socialism works until you run out of other people’s money”.

Even though Bernie doesn’t have party support, he does have a groundswell of support from young people. One problem he has going against him is his age. Imagine him getting elected and dropping dead.

Trump and Bloomberg have one advantage of having their own money to finance their campaigns.

Here’s another factor that gives Trump an edge. Because of name recognition, he’s able to draw tens of thousands to rallies, and get maximum media coverage. That’s something the Dems wish they could do. In 2016 Hillary had that kind of public support. Today, Bernie can pull a crowd. The others...not so much.
Another factor in Trump’s favor, he has the money to bankroll his campaign (without being indebted to any special interest groups) but doesn’t have to spend a lot to get his name out there. Look at the $100 million Jeb Bush spent in 2016 and came up empty. I’ll bet the Florida taxpayers we’re REALLY happy about that.

I’ll say this much for Trump. Negotiating with countries that are/were potential enemies is delicate work. I seriously doubt we’ll become as close allies like we are with Israel, but it’s better than bombing the crap out of them.
