How, exactly, is it that we're not living in a state of fascism or a dictatorship where saying anything about the leader means you temporarily lose your job without pay?

I don't remember any doctors or medical professionals losing their jobs - even temporarily - for all the $#!+ they talked about Obama and/or ACA all those years.
Perhaps you need to read the last 2 paragraphs of the article.

The second to last paragraph explains the decision by the Utah Supreme Court about judges remaining impartial. And the reason doctors didn't get suspended is that their job doesnt require them to be impartial.

The last paragraph mentions a case where a judge was suspended for supporting President Trump and attending one of his rallies.

Don't let the facts get in the way of your hatred though.

So, if you had read the whole article....

The judge mocked a defendant in open court while making his remarks. The article also made mention of a judge that was reprimanded for supporting Trump.

Please read past the head line.

That's why articles like this with the inflammatory headlines bury the important facts at the very end of the article. They prey on the fact that most people have short attention spans (Squirrel!) and won't read the whole article. The short-attention span reader then spreads the false claims on social media without the whole truth and a narrative forms that is far from the truth.

As long as oppressed minorities keep having a victim mentality, the 21st century is never going to come. As a black woman, Candace Owens would be the first one to say there is no virtue in being a victim.
And despite claims to the contrary, the United States is the least oppressive country in the world. Don't think so? Try moving to Japan, The Philippines, or Saudi Arabia and see how that works out for you.

The roadmap to the Muppet Central politics thread:
D'Snowth = :embarrassed:
MWoO = :sleep:
MuppetsRule = :boo:
Basically. But say what you will about Statler and waldorf, they were smart quick witted and right.

What bugs me is when D'Snowth posts a stance, myself or MuppetsRule debunk it with facts, and there is zero response back. He just moves onto the next thing.

That's what a lot of conservatives have. Facts and data to back their claims up. Ben Shapiro, Michael Knowles, Dennis Prager, Candace Owens, they're not just pulling rhetoric out of thin air. Many on the left are running on emotions. As long as the subject matter is comfortable to talk about and doesn't offend them, that's all that matters.
"Trump is a racist and drops the N-bomb on people of color!"
"Can you give a specific example?"
Long pause...
"Well, he just is!"
There are parts of Trump's character that leave room for improvement, but if you can cite specific facts and instances, you'll win people over.
