Everyone now has such great blogs and tutorials now, but what I'm looking for is some close details looks at the mouth/hand part of a puppet.

I'm trying some of the patterns here using foam sheets, but the mouth doesn't feel solid or secure. Is it any different than how my sockpuppet pattern works? Just tack it together?

I've seen hear and elsewhere what types of materials are good, and I have the foam book, but I'd really like some clear shots of how to build and attach a mouth.

Handgrips, how to attach to the rest of the head, etc.

Thanks for the help and support.

Yes I have checked them out. But thanks for the links again.

I guess what I'm wondering is does the mouth plate just get glued on? Does putting Fleece strengthen the mouth?

I have a puppet the one for my thumbnail. Its kinda like a project puppet production puppet. I got it when I was a kid 20+ years ago. And is nothing like my current attempts I'm building. What I'm building feels weak.

My thumbnail is a foam head, mouth plate (hard plastic) with an internal sock.

The transformedpuppet top hand grip is a great add, and the Foam book shows using the thumb ring too.

Usually the edge of the foam used to make the puppet's "skull" is glued on to the mouth plate, but it really depends on the design of the puppet.
